Yellow Quill Motel

Great value stay. Everything we needed. Simple but well cared for.

The courtesies extended to my husband and I who are seniors that use canes were extraordinary. The television service was better than at a recent high end property.

It is clean and well kept.  The staff is friendly.   It was was also easy on the pocket book.

Bathroom has been recently renovated.  Nothing fancy but clean and functional

Would definitely stay again. Very nice owners, room nice and clean, very short walk to to walking trail along river

Its just your typical ma and pa strip motel.  Brings you back to what it use to be like. Very comfortable.  We are repeat guests.  When passing through we will always stop for a night or two.

Clean room. Hotel is in a quiet area with a lovely waterfront trail nearby. Friendly service and great value. Will certainly stay here again.

The owner was very friendly. Rooms were a little outdated, but that wasn’t an issue. Very tidy and the bathroom was nice and modern. Had a very enjoyable stay!

Although the property is very old, they have done a good job in updating the bathrooms and it is incredibly clean.  There is security on the property so that makes it very safe.  There is no breakfast and nowhere at the hotel to get food but it's in a small town and there are lots of places to eat.  I would recommend here keeping in mind the age of the motel.  It's exactly as the pictures present.

We where impressed with the reception on arrival courteous, and accommodating .
Room nicely appointed and has been upgraded. Mattress comfortable and was able to get a great night sleep. Only drawback was it took aa long time to get hot water but once it was there nice and hot and lots of pressure  Central air so did not have the usual air conditioner noise all night. Overall enjoyable

age does not mean bad

This was a lovely place to stay. It’s very clean and in a quiet residential area. It’s a short walk to the lake as well. The owners were very nice and helpful in showing us how to navigate the construction and find our way back to the highway. We thought this was a lovely place and would stay here again

Newly renovated bathroom was overly lovely but I only concern is there was no rubber mat for the tub or even grippers on the tub bottom to avoid slipping!Construction was going on in the road right beside the hotel so not quite as convenient as it could be. Very close to the lake which had a nice paved walking pAth.

One night stay mid trip

and the new owners are gradually renovating. Wifi is great and there's a huge new TV and other amenities. Shower was very good and new towels! I really liked that it is just off 1A and close to lots of restaurants etc. It's also only 1/2 block walk to this really great bike path and walk around the  lake .  Unfortunately, the this motel cries out for a mid-century modern reno, but the owners don't see it.  Landscaping outside could use some work but it's Ok  if you have a pet. Pet Friendly!! New mattresses, but not pillows

Such a great location and so clean....

We have been to bigger hotels along our trip but this one was the quietest. The guy at the reception was real friendly and offered some good advice on where to get a bite to eat...let us book in early. Our room was clean and tidy. The ability to keep the screen door open was a bonus. We enjoyed sitting outside the room enjoying fresh air and a cool drink. I would stay there again. 

Best sleep on the prairies

It was nice and clean. Only thing I wish was housekeeping needed to be done my trash was full and didn't have another bags to put in.

Check in was fast, friendly and efficient. Room was exactly as advertised and I would definitely recommend staying here.
