Gîte Le Secret

This is a small friendly B and B in the small area of Oka, which does have its own provincial park. It was a bit tricky for the sat nav to find but we eventually got there by crossing on the ferry from Hudson. The house itself is large and there is a living room for guests. The bedroom was comfortable but didn't have air-conditioning, this wasn't too much of a problem as we frequently opened the balcony door, there was an insect screen. As the house is shaded under large trees it never really got too hot. There is a pool for guests and breakfast is supplied. The breakfast was great and every morning was different, there was also always a choice which was handy.The only reason I have deducted a star was that the room we stayed in had a toilet which was only screened from the bed with a wicker screen as there was not a separate door. I found this quite disconcerting but maybe thats just because I'm British!! Maybe just me.
