Algonquin Eco-Lodge

If you are looking for "The Great Canadian Experience" look no farther than the Algonquin Eco-Lodge! My dad and I booked a 3-day package that included a stay at the Eco-Lodge and trail riding with Algonquin by Horseback. It was an incredible trip! The lodge sits in the middle of the forest and overlooks the picturesque Moffat pond, home to some of Ontario's finest beavers! In addition to being completely self-suffiecient with its own hydro, the lodge is stacked with ammenities and the added bonus that it is off-the-grid. The lodge was incredibly clean and well maintained by the owner/outdoorsman/all around handyman Robin, who is clearly passionate about making a stay at the Eco-Lodge the best it can be. The screened in gazebo and the canoes gave us an escape from the bugs and the entrance to the lodge was designed in such a way that, when used properly, prevents them from entering. Even in peak bug season we were able to enjoy this incredible place! Having all our meals taken care of allowed us to relax and really appreciate the nature around us by maximizing our time outside -- Robin also happens to be a great cook! We instantly missed the Eco-Lodge and the surrounding nature as soon as we reached the first traffic light on our drive back to the city, and we will continue to day dream about this place for years to come. I cannot say enough good things about this special trip and our stay at the Algonquin Eco-Lodge! Thank you Robin for a getaway we will never forget!
