The resort is located on an idyllic piece of property about a 10-15 drive from the closest restaurant. It’s good it’s that close as the “resort” has no restaurant on site. If you need a decent meal bring your own food. The regular rooms have small fridges but no microwave. There are rooms with kitchenettes in them, I’d suggest asking for one if you are staying more than one night. 
The rooms are clean, sparsely appointed and quite dated. The beds are clean as well. 

There is a pool, however, on three of the last four times I was here it was closed. 

If you plan on a hot shower, don’t plan on one in the morning. The hot eater supply is non-existent the moment any other guest attempt to use it too. 

The property has the potential to be a great spot. Unfortunately the present owners are putting very little capital into maintaining the grounds or improving the location. 

If you want a ace to stay while near Cavendish Beach, this one is clean but has few amenities and is simply a bed for the night.

Adequate at Beat

Our keys stopped working.  We arrived back late and had to wait a long time for someone to wake up and come to the desk and reconnect our keys.  
The showers are awful.  The water pressure is all over the place and it is terrible that it goes from frigid to scalding hot.  I mean super hot beyond anything you would ever have in your home.  Be careful.
The rooms seemed cleaned but were very dated.  The property seemed unkept and in need of updating and maintenance...

Average Motel - Disorganized and Bad Showers

Our family stayed in a 3 bedroom cottage for two days last week and had an enjoyable stay.  Our cottage was clean with a large bathroom and comfortable beds but the living/ dining area was somewhat on the "Spartan" side and things like the furniture and A/C need updating.  The staff were pleasant and helpful and they are obviously in the process of upgrading things.  It is very quiet and close to all the attractions of Cavendish and the shortcut to North Rustico is just around the corner.

Average but improving

We stayed at this resort on our 7 day coach tour to the Maritimes. The room assigned to us was supposedly a better one but there were many stairs to climb to reach it. The resort is dated and desparately require a refurbishment. Lobster dinner was served in a generous portion but not to the standard of the other seafood restaurants we visited a couple of years ago in PEI>

More like a motel than a resort

Our family really wanted to like this place, but it’s not the best. At $330(taxes in) a night, I would really suggest you look somewhere else, sadly. 
1. Walking into the cabin #9, the door sill was very loose. 
2. The BBQ was a mess. 
3. The whole 2 bedroom cabin was suppose to be cooled by one very small window unit. Needless to say, nope. 
4. The toilet would run constantly. 
5. The bedding was questionable when it come to being clean. We happened to all bring our own blankets. 
6. Sometimes the water would stop during a shower 😳
7. The smoke alarm would go off while cooking bacon, WITH the door open because it was so hot in there, that AC did nothing. 
8. The smoke alarm was SOOO quiet we actually thought it must be one from a few cabins over because it was so low sounding. Very unsafe. 
9. The pool was freezing. It was so cold. I can’t even explain to you how cold it was. My daughter’s lips were purple in the 15 minutes she spent in the pool. I wish I was over exaggerating. 
Those are just the things that come to mind as I sat down to write this. We went to speak to the one sole man who worked the front desk, and every time I tried to speak with him, the “Back in 5 minute” sign would be up, and he wasn’t back in 5 minutes. We just basically used this cabin to sleep in.

One Stay Was Enough

A hybrid motel classified as a resort is somewhat misleading. Room is full two star quality, albeit with mild musty odour.

There are no amenities on-site outside of a vending machine. Games room is a joke, while the tennis court needs to have the weeds removed before use. Renovations are evident, but the odour of residual paint still lingers in dining hall. The breakfast will suit if sufficient hunger is present, otherwise, wait to eat elsewhere.

Overall, not a satisfying place to stay at current price point. Cost to value ratio is way too high. Spend your dollars elsewhere. 

Feeling very empty

My family and I arrived on Monday August 7th 2017 2 adults and 3 children. Our stay was for 3 nights. When I arrived i paid in cash. I was told by the young man at the desk my room might not be ready. This was shortly after 3 pm which is check in time. I was sent to cabin number 5 which i went too and it wasnt clean, so after returning to the desk i asked what was going on they said the other cabin was ready. At this point im totally inconvienced and i have tired kids in the car that need to rest. Finally after the front desk go their crap together i finally got my cabin 20 minutes later. The cabin wasnt bad clean and well stocked I was cool with that but the beds were hard as a rock to sleep on need serious improvement on that part and the grounds need improvement from the tennis court to the old scary run down building behind the park and trampoline area. That trampoline isnt all that safe either no net around it. Maintenance and the cleaning lady Patricia was fantastic and I thank them. But as soon as i was settled in my cabin about an hour into my stay my credit card was charged the full amount after i paid cash. I was FURIOUS! I marched to the desk and the man by the name of Brody, same guy that took my cash was the one who charge my credit card. I said to him what gives?? He replied he he ha ha that was me and didnt really apologize. I was NOT AT ALL IMPRESSED! I replied back and said well nice try there was only 3 bucks on there anyway. And i asked about the breakfast if it was included or not he said it was, but i wasnt imformed that in the begining before booking. He said tp come back in the morning and get a coupon for the meal. I asked well why not hand me the coupon now so i dont have to bother anyone in the morning so my family and i can go to the continental breakfast. He replied stunned and said uh ok sure...like seriously get your act together buddy i mean wholy how dense are you? So after my 3 day stay on thursday August the 10th my family and I checked out as I was heading to the front desk to check out and give back my key the young lady told me i still owes a balance on my cabin. I looked at her and she was very friendly and said are you for real? I paid $800.00 $100.0 dollar bills on monday got my recipt and change back and you tell me I still owe money? I was floored and very disappointed and not a happy customer. I told the girl no I do not owe you ANYTHING I paid in full what the heck are you talking about?? Anyway this is the point of my argument the staff and management needs to get their act together because this is not only unprofessional but very much lacking clarity on information. And I cant prove it but I believe that gentlemen was trying to rip me off once I paid cash and then proceed to charge my credit card. And perhaps pocket that cash somehow? I will not be returning unless this facility's management improve DRAMATICALLY. Im a paying customer and there are DOZENS OF OTHER CABINS TO CHOOSE FROM.
At this point in time I do NOT recommend this place. Its too bad because its a quiet location.

Staff needs to get more organized 

This place is ok if no other options present themselves. Unclean rooms, filthy hallways, sub-par breakfasts, the grounds are in ruins and unkempt. For a place just to lay your head for one night it may be acceptable but otherwise just don't. They are very understaffed and it shows.
