This is the third time we went to Lunenburg
This is the third time we stayed at the Kaulbach House. 
It is centrally located you can walk the whole town from there. 
It is very nice accommodation. They have something most bed and breakfast don’t have that is on site parking. 
Ed and Aletha are very welcoming people. 
If I am lucky enough to make it back to Lunenburg I hope to stay at the Kaulbach House.

We stayed in the Harbourview room, which is really two rooms.  We LOVED having a separate sleeping room and living/bathroom. The location is within the Lunenburg historic district and within walking distance to everything there. Kaulbach House is historic and charming on the outside, but the inside has a more modern charm. The modern bathroom; coffee machine in the room; and great wifi were much appreciated. Our hosts were friendly and easy to talk to and the breakfasts were ample fuel to start the day.  You could see the harbour from our living room and there was a great sea breeze through the window. We definitely would stay here if we ever visit Lunenburg again. We were on a road trip, so also appreciated the convenient parking in the back.

My friends and I were looking for a place to end a day-long cycling adventure down the shore and Kaulbach was the perfect destination! We had a spot to securely store our bikes, clean up and enjoy the evening out. In the morning we were spoiled with a totally decadent in-house breakfast. The views, the ease of organizing, and the next-level bathrooms were all stand out. We can’t wait to do this again!

Great facility -- room with modern bathroom and new clean wood floors with new furniture -- all very comfortable. Located in perfect spot in Lunenburg. Breakfast was wonderful -- fresh and delicious and very filling from egg souffles to yogurt, cereal and muffins. Excellent coffee. Aletha was a lovely host.

Wonderful place to stay. Good night’s sleep, delicious breakfast, fantastic shower and places to read. Aletha is an interesting and accomodating host. We wondered down to the waterfront  which was a few steps away and enjoyed the restaurants there. 

We were a group of 7 cyclists who spent two nights at Kaulbach House in September and it was impeccable!  The rooms were beautiful and spotless the breakfasts were fabulous... the art on the walls, the books on the shelves, the vinyl record collection all speak to Aletha’s passion for what she does and her excellent taste!  Thank you so much for making our stay in Lunenburg the highlight of our tour.  Highly recommend!

Great location in the main part of downtown Lunenburg.  Can walk everywhere.  Had a great view of the harbor from the Bluenose Suite.  Parking included which is nice.  The owners were super accommodating and flexible to our needs.  Breakfast was great and the price was reasonable given all the amenities included.  Our suite was huge, and had plenty of room for my wife and I.  If for some reason you had trouble carrying heavy luggage, I would not advise booking the Bluenose because it is up a few flights of stairs, otherwise I can think of no better place to stay if your travels bring you to Nova Scotia.

You won't be disappointed.  It was the perfect mix of quaint and modern. The rooms are quite large... the pictures don't do them justice.  We also enjoyed sitting in the backyard. The location is central.

We loved our recent two-night stay at Kaulbach House! Think 1860s charm meets modern en suite ...w the best shower! The location in Old Lunenberg is great. Aletha's breakfasts are delicious, using locally sourced products. Loved the library and record collection :) Highly recommend.

Totally loved our two night stay in this beautiful and beautifully run B&B in the centre of Lunenberg.   Fantastic room with wonderful artworks, excellent home cooked breakfast.  The host and her brother do everything to make your stay as perfect as could be.

Awesome B&B

We visited the Kaulbach House for one night when we stopped in Lunenburg.  Right from booking through to after check out the hospitality we received was outstanding.
The location was central to everything in Lunenburg. 
Our room The Bluenose Suite provided a little view of the water along with all the modern amenities required. 
Breakfast was fresh and plentiful. 
A very beautiful spot with such charm.
Definitely the place to stay if you are stopping in this little village.
