B&B de la Fontaine

Very historic building with a good vibe. Short walk to all attractions, markets and many restaurants. The room was well equipped and had a nice covered balcony. Skinny and winding stairway going up to room reminded us of others we have experienced in old Europe. Cool and unique place we would highly recommend.

Wonderful location for wandering. Beautiful city. The room was clean and adequate for my stay of 2 nights. Safe and accommodating. I would stay here again.

The stay was excellant!  We had a hreat time during our stay.

Beautifully older building, quaint with lots of charm. Not suitable for handicapped people as stairs are narrow and steep. Very close to the promenade at the end of the street. We will definitely stay here again.

Having never been here before… it was fantastic!Walkable to anywhere, including the cruise ships.Our room was beautiful with a small balcony. We would stay here again.

The B&B is in the middle of old Quebec City  ,Very historical and conveniently located

Very nice location and good parking instructions. The stairway may be a little steep for people with motility issues. Other than that, all is great!

Bed frame sticks out under bed cover and we hit our shins several times. Ouches

Small but quaint room which is an authentic hotel experience from 100 years ago with a modern smart TV with a small refrigerator.

The owner answered our phone calls and was very helpful, friendly and professional. The service was excellent and the food delicious!

We loved being in walking distance to the old city and the citadel, etc. the buildings are so charming and “old world” Europe feel. The biggest challenge was parking. It would have been helpful to have a parking map and to know ahead of driving into the city where we could find public overnight parking, as we drove around and around and finally found 1 spot at the L’Abraham Museum—10 minute walk from our room. Fortunately we had small backpacks and no huge luggage. Our room was up a narrow steep stairs ( part of the old charm!) and the space was tight but comfortable. We were not able to enjoy the included breakfast as we had to leave early morning. Overall any of the inconveniences were worth the proximity to old city Quebec and the walkability.

Great location, on a quiet street close to major attractions.The bed was very comfortable and the breakfast each morning was very good. The building is difficult to get in and out of, the stairs to our bedroom and to the dining area are treacherous, especially for seniors. The air-conditioning pump broke down in our room and our friend's room, the building needs some TLC and maintenance. A response to any concerns as very prompt.

Very charming and comfortable room right in the center of town. I loved everything about it, except that it is not for the faint of heart with a height phobia. I knew my room would be upstairs and didn’t mind walking, but did not know how steep and narrow the stairs would be. It was a bit daunting trying to figure out the check in/check out policy (none), and if you live gourmet breakfasts you’ll want to forego the basic but adequate breakfast provided. I really enjoyed the coffee while the rest was fairly standard. Staff, in person or by phone was very helpful

This property is super cute and in a fabulous location however the steps when trying to enter and once inside when trying to occupy your room is extremely challengingMy air con in the room did not work also the light switch did not work so i had to climb on the bed and pull the cord to turn the light onAlso i was snoozing on the bed and the door opened and a lady says this is our room which it clearly wasnt Not their fault thats the room that they was informed Breakfast was ok basic but still nice And Jeremy was a star cooking cleaning and helped me with my bags.All in all a pleasant stay just some tweaking would be good

Pro: location, original art, decor, older building charm. Breakfast was attractively presented and welcoming. Less wonderful: The daily, all-summer street barricades prevented me from reaching the front door. This should have been addressed in the arrival email. There was no blanket to be found and the room was chilly on a warm night. We were not greeted at arrival.

My husband and I enjoyed our three nights stay the room was clean the bed was very comfortable and it was nice and peaceful so you could have a good nights sleep to enjoy the next day activities. You are in walking distance to cafe’s and shopping 🛍️. The breakfast was absolutely amazing, thank you Jerome . Hope to visit again next year.

Location was perfect!  Parked the car upon arrival and was able to walk everywhere.  There is no parking on site but very close by without issue.  Self check in and out, never saw anyone except Jerome briefly at breakfast.  He was very nice, gave us a map of the sites to see.  Mornings were noisy due to construction across the street.  I would recommend to others. Without hesitation.

Victoria our innkeeper was lovely and extremely helpful The breakfasts were plentiful with lots of variety Our room was quaint and cozy with a very comfortable bed Anyone with walking issues should be aware of steep stairs The location was perfect Minutes from Le Chateau Frontenac and numerous restaurants Over all a real gem !

Our vacation in Quebec City was really lovely, and our decision to stay at B&B de la Fontaine played a large part in making this trip amazing.  This B&B oozes with old world ambience, with every decorative detail adding to it.  Our room was cozy and with all the amenities.  Victoria,  the owner, is a kind and thoughtful person who does everything there, including preparing scrumptious made-to-order breakfasts in the adorable kitchen/ breakfast area.  She even recommended a fantastic day-trip to "The Canyon" that we had not read about in our travel books.  The location of this B&B is ideally located near to the Citadel, lower town, a beautiful park, and the St. Lawrence River.  Parking is also nearby.  My only warning is that it will not accommodate a vehicle higher than 6 ft. 5 in.
