had a nice stay at this lodge, all you need, close to shops and centre, lodge was very tidy, we didn't have a car, a small weak to a shopping precinct and 25 min walk into the centre, levelly garden and sitting place.

Ive been an Islander my whole life and have experienced many tourist spots. Id have to say what I love most about this heavenly little spot is the service; you just dont find genuine people around very often these day but at this spot they are ALL HEART! 
From the thoughtful welcome gift basket to the considerate customer care there is nowhere else in Lake Cowichan to go for whatever your accommodation needs are. The suites are clean and well thought out. Id stay here anyday of the week Im in town! The ladies manning the front desk are exceptionally genuine and friendly, and answered any and all questions I had and gave me a giggle at every hello with their amazing sense of humor (and they left me alone when I needed me time)

If this is the last room available in Lake Cowichan go back to Duncan.

The people were pleasant and helpful.  That's about it on the plus side. The hotel is really showing its age.  The door jam looked as if the door had been kicked in a couple of times.  There was a bag of garbage scattered around the deck.  The housekeeper promptly cleaned it up but it left a bad first impression.  Lighting was poor, the shower was dirty, there was what looked like a blood stain on the bed sheet, the neighbours were up all night an sounded like they were right in our room with us.  Overpriced for what it is.

Not here!!!

It is a small town close to a large city. The room was nice and clean and bed very comfortable. It is less than a minute walk to a beach and waterfront walk. The entire area is very clean and the people are very polite. Nice place if you want quiet. And there are several restaurants within a few minute walk

Spa Suite very nice in downtown location

We booked the spa suite at the front of the building, but were only seconds walk form the waterfront. The Jacuzzi was great and there was a spa basket and house robes in the room. there was a little fire bowl on our patio with firewood so we enjoys a little campfiel
