Columbia Motor Inn

We stayed here on the holiday weekend, wanting to spend on other things, we opted to be budget conscious on accommodations where you spend less time. This was a great choice and very inexpensive! The room was a good size, with two double beds - gave us space to stretch out! The added bonus of a swimming pool - which was large as well, was a nice touch. We both enjoyed time in the pool on a 32+ day. I recommend you bring your own towels - the hotel doesn't provide pool towels and the ones in the rooms aren't very large. The room itself had a nice microwave, a coffeemaker that made individual pod coffees - very nice ones, I would have liked more than one cup each actually, they were very good. The mini fridge kept things cold, and chilled our waters very quickly. The tv was flat screen and had a good selection of channels. The wifi was a bit sketchy - I found it would drop in and out on my tablet, and our phones couldn't find the networks at all. The location is also good - close to downtown, and close to decent shopping and attractions. We found it easy to get around, not knowing Kamloops at all. We would definitely stay there again - very good stay!
