The room had beautiful wall decor featuring some incredible Rocky Mountain views. The room was clean and the staff was so friendly! We had an absolutely wonderful stay at Super 8 in Golden! It was also pet friendly and we had a walk out suite which was very convenient.

Was a great little find can’t complain smooth extra large rooms new property and amazingly pretty busy to my surprise great place to spend the weekend and be minutes from so many historical and stunning locations 

Having read other reviews I had very low expectation of this place. Chosen as it was an excellent price on a holiday weekend, just as a place to rest my head between ski days at Kicking Horse.

The room was exceptionally clean and a much higher standard than expected, and I have no complaints about the service.

The only down side was that the breakfast doesn't start until 8.30, which is far too late if you want to get first lifts at 9am. I recommend that breakfast should run from 7am.

This Super 8 is plain and clean. Price is affordable. Staff is efficient yet friendly. We really appreciate the simple accommodations. Will be back for sure next time with my family. Highly recommend!

AN. Enjoyable stay. The staff were very accommodating to my needs relating to a late check-in request all services were as described by the management staff, as I arrived at the motel after their normal business hours 

Room was well kept and clean.  Staff was friendly and helpful while dealing with difficult Covid19 conditions.  They respected the distancing measures and wore masks and gloves when interactions were necessary.  Made sure they checked on our needs every day, and brought us clean towels and amenities when requested.  Price was very reasonable as well.

Had an excellent stay, for the price the property is well maintained, and he staff were very friendly. This was my first time staying and was quite impressed.Only issue I had was the amount of light coming in from outside at night.

We've stayed at Super 8 Golden several times, and we are never disappointed. It has every essential things a good motel must have. Reasonable price, friendly and helpful staff, clean rooms and comfortable beds, big parking lot, security (24-hour surveillance), and fresh continental breakfast.

The suite we are staying this time is very nice and practical. It’s great to have a separate living room and kitchenette from bedroom. Our stay at Super 8 is so comfortable. Thank you for making it a wonderful experience.

Lovely stay!

The front desk man and woman were super nice.  The room was good.  But we got the usual breakfast in a bag the night before.   It was the cheapest Wyndham room in Golden and I love Wyndham so we had no choice.
When we were rushing for the Victoria ferry we realized we forgot our Sonic toy (that I use as a nonallergenic pillow).  We phoned and they said they would send it to us in Victoria, but we don't have it yet.  :(   It has an important trackable which is recorded by many as we travel.   Has anyone seen our Sonic?   As I write, I have been on hold with Super 8 Golden for one hour exactly.  Their phone is open but they forgot me.

Booked here as everything else in Golden was booked up or really pricey!
The room was great,
Check in was efficient and a bag breakfast idd so given for the next morning.  A lot of hotels have been doing this since Covid.
A few notes for housekeeping and upkeep ( in case management is listening).  Otherwise I could see this hotel being removed from Super 8 branding.

1. Get some bleach and a brush and clean the wall tiles in the bathroom.  No excuse for what they looked like!
2. Get the air conditioners cleaned and serviced.  They barely worked. 
3. Remove all the mismatch chairs on the walkways or better yet remove them all.  Then you can actually vacuum the walkways.
4. Maintain the stairs.
Other than that our stay was okay!

Better  than I expected

When we first pulled in it looked like an abandoned building. Check-in was great and the front desk person was very friendly. The rooms looked rundown and can do with some sprucing up. Unfortunately, there was no breakfast which we normally get at other Supper 8.

Poor appearance OK Services

Room wasn’t cleaned. Garbage on the floor from previous people, sheets weren’t changed. Breakfast is non-existent and the wifi is very glitchy. No check ins from the cleaning crew/front desk about our stay either. Wouldn’t recommend this place unless a last resort. I would sleep in my car first though.

the bath was dirty either too old or not scrubbed enough and the were traces of pacifiers from the non slip mat in the bottom of the bath
The bed was comfortable and the breakfast was one muffin, one juice , one tender bar, cup of fruit (Del Monte)  in a bag

Super 8 Golden

Absolute disgusting. The hotel is nothing like advertised. It is a flea bag motel at best. What a let down. I have no clue what they are doing, but I stayed in better places in 3rd world African countries. The fact that Tripadvisor has this hotel on their list makes me wonder what Tripadvisor is there for.

Absolutely disgusting.

The room was frozen upon arrival. Mildew on bath tiles. Piles of trash on the side of building. The staff was very helpful but that doesn’t make up for freezing room and uncleanliness of the tub. You should pay your staff more so they feel valued and care about certain parts of their job like putting the sheets on inside right. You would be amazing the pride someone takes in their job when they feel valued. 

Heat was off in winter

Arrived at hotel at 4:45 pm after an 8 hour drive.  We were exhausted and looking forward to a quiet night after a quick dinner somewhere close.  We were extremely dismayed to find the room a complete dive.  The bathroom door, when opened half way, narrowly missed smacking the toilet.  The bathtub was so filthy that the next morning we had to shower with socks on and were very afraid the shower curtain rod would fall down on us as it was that loose.  The pillows very small.  We would have loved to have walked out but would have been charged a fee and there were also no rooms available anywhere in Golden.  Not a value for the $160.00 we paid.

Hotel Dump

I was visiting Banff, Jasper and Yoho National Park in Canada for 1 week and booked at this Super 8 at the minute. This is a total trash motel with health hazards. The motel is filthy dirty. The front desk was closed, so I couldn't get help during my stay. Sink and bath tub were clogged, sheets had stains, coffee maker was filthy and never washed, chairs were covered in layers of dirt and dust, the stairs to my room 211 was loose, the carpet on the stairs and the Corridor/hallway was filthy dirty, window AC never cooled the room. I was also told during check in NOT TO COME TO THE FRONT DESK! I want full refund and want to escalate this complaint all the way to the Super 8 corporation management so that they help take actions to fix all these issues. This motel shouldn't get to keep Super 8 brand. For over 240 CAD, I expect at least a clean room and a bathroom to take shower. I have stayed on another Super 8 and had a pleasant stay during this trip.
