The lady at the front desk was very friendly, not to mention the service. The free parking is really a plus. But about the room it's something else. I have a big doubt about the household, hair and hair that hangs all over the place, including on the toilet bowl, in the bathtub and a lot in the bed. I think the sheets haven't even been changed. Plus the TV wasn't working. At 63€ a night I didn't expect miracles, but I really hoped for better than that.

The hotel is located close to the motorways (so easy to access) and in the middle of a shopping and restaurant area. The hotel consists of several batches, most of the rooms are grouped around the pool but some are in a batch a little further away bringing greater tranquility. A spacious private room and bathroom. Equipped with a comfortable bed, a flat screen TV, a coffee machine, a mini refrigerator and Wi-Fi. Continental lunch included with the room. Choice of routes, lounge, croissant, muffins, eggs, hard bag and coffee. A security deposit is required when registering at the lock, but the pool is filled with pads. The key is variable until 15 hours, depending on the time of closure.

Quiet motel.

Stayed in July 2019. Very uncomfortable beds.This room needs to be clean was in room 210. NOTHING LIKE THE PICTURES> Had about an inch of dust on headboard.Coffee stains on fridge,windowsill in bathroom needs to be clean.Dead bugs on bathroom ceiling.Since I always carry disinfecting wipes I putted them to good use. Pool,was clean and refreshing,continental breakfast was good.This was the first time that I had to put a  extra $100.00 deposit on the room,even though it was paid in full upon arrival. The following morning the room was check before we got our money back, is this normal for a woman in her early sixties?

Need a good cleaning.

We stayed 2 nights to participate in the tulip festival. Our super clean room was in a section detached from the main units, the floor was made of ceramic. The continental lunch was very nice as well as the lunchroom, everything is super clean. We met friendly and helpful people at the reception. They even agreed to return me by mail, an item forgotten in the room. I'll definitely be back.

My husband and I really enjoyed our 5 nights in March 2019 at Hotel Montcalm. Staff were helpful, friendly, and attentive to my one request (for a blow dryer).  Great location if you have a rental car, for visiting Ottawa, Gatineau, and surrounding areas.  We did not make it as for as Montreal or Quebec, but next time.  Lots of dining/grocery shopping places nearby.  Loved room 219, on the "top deck" with nice view of city scape up above the parking lot.  We would come back in a heartbeat.

Friendly helpful staff, great location

First of all, the motel is quite cheap. It's about £50 for any type of room. Free parking is available outside, though it can be limited depending on how many other guests are staying. The rooms are located on 3 sides on 2 floors, all facing the parking spaces and an outdoor pool, which is normally open until 9pm. Our family of 4 stayed in a double bedroom. The 2 double beds were big enough, but the room isn't that big. Sockets are also hard to find. The air conditioning is quite noisy but strong enough. Lights are not bright enough inside, although there is a fridge and kettle! They also give you free coffee bags and plastic cups. You may ask for a hairdryer from reception for free. The bathroom is very small, only big enough for 1 person at a time. The location of the motel is very, very good. It is about 10 minutes' drive from Downtown Ottawa and is situated very close to big shopping centres such as Costco. It is also in Quebec province, so everywhere you go people will speak to you first in French. All in all, a good place to stay for just 1 or 2 nights.

My room was in the back of a detached house. It smelled clean when I walked in. A big ceramic room.

Good price. Good location. Clean. I'll get back to it.

I stayed seven days in this motel, very nice accommodation, small room, but given the right price, but the cleanliness at the end of arrival... and a strong smell of cold tobacco, the cleanliness improved in the week, coffee available in the room.
