Listing needs to be updated to reflect the current name of the hotel (Espanola motel vs Suhkdev motel). Reception also doubled as a restaurant, and the check-in was at the bar. Otherwise, the rooms were very clean and seemed freshly renovated.

This motel has definitely seen better days and it's in pretty rough shape.  The people were nice enough but I didn't appreciate them photocopying my driver's license (not sure this is even legal and they did not tell me they were doing it) or the $150 damage deposit to my credit card that I was required to pay in advance of getting our room.  It was super cheap so I guess I should have known not to expect too much!

nobody around in office at checkin time, drove around the building 4 times and tried every door until finally someone waved us in. there was a piece of broken glass on the floor so obviously wasn’t swept. wind and snow blowing in around the door , windows and ac unitThis is a 1 star facility only because it’s better than sleeping outside.

This hotel was filthy.  We requested a refund as we refused to stay in a room that was that dirty!  The door didn’t even close properly and cold draft from door.  The floors, walls and bathroom room disgusting.  We asked for a full refund and spoke to manager and he couldn’t refund until he spoke with hotels.com.  We tried to find contact information from hotels.com and couldn’t get anything.  We will never use this app again and will never stay at this hotel ever again!

Dirtiest motel!

We arrived at the Espanola Motel and found it closed down and deserted. The restaurant on the property, that was to act as a go-between, was deserted as well. Since it was getting late and nobody answered the phone (called a phone number that was posted on the outside of a building on the property - twice - 25 minutes apart), We decided that we needed to do something else and called it quits on this reservation. Thankfully there was a vacancy elsewhere. At 10:37 pm I received a phone call enquiring about our reservation with the Espanola Motel. I had a frank conversation with the person about the lack of staff at the motel.

the people working there are nice but the room we stayed in had mold. i would not recommend staying there if its for more than one night.

Staff is not available in the morning for checking out, you must wait after 11 pm to get service

Uncomfortable bed, broken door, there were spots on bedsheets as if they were not clean, no hot water in sink, noisy fridge.Close to tim hortins, McDonald's, gas station and grocery store.
