I enjoyed my stay at the Blue Lizard, but it closed down a few days after I came to stay. The area was laid back and relaxed. And I liked the atmosphere there. I hope it reopens in Siem Reap. The owner was really nice. Good Luck.

Located just a few minutes from city centre, blue lizard is everything you could ever want in a hostel. For couch low costs the hostel has so much to offer and such an incredible atmosphere! Beer available, free water, and a kitchen to use it is the best place to unwind. The. hammocks are super comfortable and the hostel offers ping pong table, badminton court and bikes to rent! Loved my stay here

Great hostel! Guests are sociable, there's  a kitchen for use and the Internet is good. Oh and it's really cheap for those on a budget! The owner, a deaf man, is heavily involved in the local deaf community too which is nice to see.

Nice dorms with a female only dorm. Close to the city center (1km). Every beds have its own fan. You can have a free access to a full equiped kitchen, free drinkable water, free access to a ping pong table, hammock, wifi, hot shower and flechette. 

4$ the first night and then 3$ / night. 

The owner is deaf but he's very friendly and easy to understand. You can do your laundry for 1$/1.4kg 

The blue lizard hostel have a partnership with another hostel for pool and bike rental (1$/day)

Con : there is a little problem with mosquitoes (got some bites every nights)

This hostel was the cheapest one I could find in Siem Reap. With only 3$/night you can't really expect a lot. So there is no breakfast and the bathrooms are simple and not always perfectly cleaned. There are quite a few Moskitos in there but if you need a cheap hostel with a nice (deaf) owner then this one is ok.
