Villa Srey

Great hotel in the heart of Phnom Penh, well located, around the hotel you will find plenty of restaurants, bars, spas.  Lovely staff and very helpful. Rooms are very comfortable and they offer a very good breakfast.

I have just stayed here for a week and enjoyed my stay very much. The location in the smart BBK1 area of Phnom Penh is nice but too far to walk into the centre of town more than occasionally. However, a tuk tuk is usually parked in the road outside which will take you into town for $2-3. I took the phone numbers of a couple of helpful tuk tuk drivers so it was easy to call them to meet you to take you wherever you want to go. Villa Srey is simple and comfortable and has a small swimming pool and a pleasant outside seating area for breakfast or a coffee etc.Breakfast, as others have mentioned, is deliciously fresh and tasty. The staff were extremely helpful with a couple of small problems I had with the room and I would happily stay here again.

My partner and I visited Phnom Penh in August 2015 and booked Villa Srey for the duration of our stay. On arrival the surrounding roads were packed tight with vehicles as it was the end of school. We ended up paying or taxi driver and walking the short distance around the corner. On entering the hotel grounds it was difficult to realise that the check-in desk is outside. We were given a temporary room for our first night as the occupant of our intended room hadn't yet checked out. Then after breakfast the next day we moved to our intended room. Both rooms were clean and spacious and very different from each other in their layout. The hotel is conveniently situated for many good food places and is within walking distance of the Royal Palace too. Just a little further out though still walkable is Tuol Sleng - the genocide museum - but if you want the killing fields then get a tuk-tuk. The staff are very pleasant and helpful, doing their best to accommodate us despite their previous guest staying for longer than expected. The gate is shut and locked at night but there is someone on the desk at all times so just knock and you'll be let back into the compound. A good place to base yourself whilst exploring PP. 

Stayed here for 2 nights during a short stay in phnom penh.  It was a little different from what we were expecting when we booked but had no real issues with the room, the air-conditioning was a little ineffective as the room was quite big but it was still possible to sleep. Our bathroom was also a rather small. There were sun loungers and a small pool at the entrance which was a nice place to relax. 

The villa is in a good location with plenty of restaurants within a couple of minutes walk.

There is no restaurant or breakfast as far as I'm aware but most of the restaurants nearby opened very early so we were always able to find somewhere. 

All in all the villa was fine for a couple of nights stay, nothing special.

This place looked really nice but sadly we didn't get beyond reception. We were told they had AC problems with our room. They were very good at finding somewhere else but when we went back the next day the room had another family in it. May have been unlucky? Good location.
