What a fantastic place the amount of game we saw so close to the Lodge. Friendly staff and great, great food. Waterhole in front of pub we saw Elephants whilst having a sundowner at the pub. Great trip

Luxury in the bush. Beautiful 'lodge' (ten different luxury tent dwellings with awesome views and a true free bush exerience. Clean, well-kept, all possible amenities, finest detail, sparkling clean swimming pool(s), spa, delicious food by a super chef, choice of accommodationg depending on budget, able and well-informed guides, caring and masterful management, game drives of different lengths and distances - in one word glorious. Way too unknown, unsung and unfamiliar. Familiarise yourself wit this little bit of heaven!

Mankwe Lodge is a beautiful place situated on the corner of Chobe and Moreni National Parks. It’s an excellent location for close encounters with wildlife, birds and nature. Johan and Yolande are wonderful hosts and their lovely team of caring employees take really good care of you. The guides for game drives are exceptionally knowledgeable and fun to learn from. The luxury tents are gorgeous and the camps are everything you need. The outdoor decks and lounges have pools, and the jewel of it all, view to a water hole that attracts elephants in large numbers in addition to ungulates and birds. All accompanied by a cooling breeze and a cold drink. A visit is highly recommended, regardless of budget.

The swimming pools are to die for - especially the plunge pool overlooking the watering hold with a succession of elephants to enjoy as we sipped a cold beer!

The camping ground was amazing with our own ablution block and hot showers. 

and back at the lodge - a great business area with strong wifi for us tro catch up on after a few days in the Chobe

Such a quiet and beautiful lodge! Lovely hosts, delicious meals, GREAT confort in the rooms! Game drive activities included with passionate guides. Perfect location before crossing the Chobe Park. Highly recommended.

We spent two nights in Mankwe Tented Retreat. The premises have been renewed during the pandemia and it is completely new. Beaufuly decorated and with a lot of spece.

The staff is very helpful and kind. there were a lof of people cleaning and mantenining the place.

The breakfast was enormus and the dinner was excellent.

We did a game drive and our guide was with us nearly 12 hours in Moremi and did an excellent job. We spot most of the animals that we could see there.

We slept in tents and they were more equipied that we expected.

If we would go back again to Moremi or Chobe I would go to Makwee tented Retreat witout any doubt.

As we arrive at the Mankwe Bush Lodge we are welcomed by the owners and the staff. They show us around the base camp which looks stunning. The camp is clean and has very nice decorations. There are 2 swimming pools, a bigger one next to the restaurant and a smaller one with a view on the drinking pool. They then show us the way to our camping ground with our private bath room as we are the only ones there. Also the game drive that we booked last minute was amazing. Eske is a very skilled driver and he knew a lot about the behaviour of the animals and where to find them. He showed us loads of elephants, zebras, hippos, antilopes and giraffes. We also saw a few warthogs, african wild cats, waterbucks, buffalo and even a hyena! We only stayed here for one night, but if we ever come back to this area we would book some more nights! We definitely recommend this place to others!

We stayed two nights in a campsite . Our guests were friendly and helpful. They offered us to enjoy all facilities (swimming pool, bar restaurant, internet). The place is clean and very well maintained. We fully recommend this campsite, located at the border of the Chobe park.

We were looking for a campsite for one night but ended up to stay for three nights. The managing couple, Yolanda and Johan from RSA as well as the staff team especially Thom and his friendly colleague (lady) were amazing. We were 6 people and had a great time there. Even though were were camping we were allowed to use the pool and bar facilities. Thank you very much.

We stayed in the campsite for 2 nights,and the tented retreat for 1 night in April 2022.
The pitches are set well away from any other pitches, and each pitch is just for you, and the ablution block is also just for you. Firewood was provided by the camp, and the site and ablution block were cleaned daily.
We slept in tents on the top of our 4x4 , good job, because we heard Lion, leopard, Elephant etc close to camp, and trough the night. Such a great experience.
Our Hosts, Johan and Yolanda, and all the staff were absolutely superb, extremely helpful, and a mine of information.
Our final night was spent in the sumptuous comfort of the tented retreat..The rooms are superb, open fronted, with nature all around you.The huge 4 poster bed, with full mosquito netting was so comfortable, The huge shower with loads of solar powered hot water was fantastic.The bar , pool, restaurant, WiFi, peace and tranquility etc etc, etc, all added up to a truly unique experience.
