Sitting back today 4/12/20 chilling with my family and talking about the memories we had at Bartek and Lauren's hostel. We actually missed the silver dollar pancake spread, so we have an excuse to visit Hostel Polako again. A fun place for lodging with a great duo team. Thanks Lauren for introducing me to Burek.

Everything about Polako says comfort. The main room contains a handful of couches, a television, and Nintendo 64 that is great for rainy days. 

There is a large dining room table placed between the kitchen and main room, which is perfect for those looking to work from their computers. In the morning it is filled with delicious pancakes, cheese, bread, coffee, and fresh fruits. 

Of course, it also must be mentioned how kind and inviting the staff members are. Bartek, Laruen, Joe, and Yoran really made the stay feel more like a family home, and less like a hostel.

Hostel Polako is the perfect place the hangout. The volunteers were friendly, the vibe is good, and Trebinje is a very cool town. The absolute highlight was the dinner in village Lapia, were a local family treated us on the best dinner I have ever had in my life.

Unfortunately, I had only one night in this hostel, but I wish I had more time to spend in Trebinje and in this accommodation. 
It is actually like a big house rearranged into a hostel, located within the walking distance from the city centre and the bus station. 
What I liked the most is the big living room, which is also a dinning room, and it gives you a feeling like you're home.
The staff can also provide you with some really good suggestions of how to spend your time. People who like hiking will especially appreciate this. :) 
Definitely a place to stay when coming into this charming small town.

We booked one night at this hostel knowing nothing about Trebenje (we were using it to break up the journey between Sarajevo and Podgorica) and stayed for 3 nights, of we didn't have a deadline to be in Podgorica we would have stayed longer.

The hostel has a very chill vibe and makes you feel welcome the minute you step inside. It's the village dinner though that was the standout of our stay and a highlight of our trip.

Free pancake breakfast was good. Only downside was only 3 bathrooms which can make toilets and showering difficult at busy periods.

Great place to relax, hosted by great people. Close to the center of Trebinje, beautiful and relaxing views - you can go hiking, sightseeing, swimming in the river, or stay and chill in the hostel, with people from around the world in very friendly atmosphere. Hostel is clean, rooms are cozy (with nice views outside the window), and the pancakes in the morning make you wanna get up and spend there one more day :)

We stayed here for one night. Room was clean as were the bathrooms. Centre was on walkingdistance. The breakfast was included but was not really good. I think we were spoiled in the hostels we stayed before.  There was not enough space for people to sit. So we waited as were others. It took some time to have breakfast because it felt I was more going to and from the kitchen to fetch stuff then eating at all. (Cups,plates,knives, cheese etc.) it seems that exactly at our time things were finished. I know it is a hostel and I am used not to be served and get my own cup of tea etc but this was a bit much. In most hostels there is someone around to help out a bit. (Staff or volunteer like workaway)
