Hostel Magaza

We stayed at hostel magaza 2 for two nights. Amazing stay, the people were super accommodating and friendly. Close to the city centre. Very clean and spacious. Even had a friendly gorgeous dog. Would definitely recommend. 

The hostel feels detached from the bustle of the town although it is situated just a 5 minute walk up the hill from the main cathedral and the old city. Around the corner is a nice little mosque and some convenient cafes and shops; and continuing walking up the hill after 30 minutes you will find yourself with a stunning view looking out over the entire city. 

Upon arrival we felt so welcomed by Elma, whose family run the place in a relaxed setting in which guests are given their own space, with a large and comfortable lounge and kitchen area, in which to feel at home and cook food, whilst Elma is always on call (via phone/facebook/whatsapp/...) to come and help with any issues. 

We ended up staying 5 nights in total, having fallen in love with the city, and Hostel Magaza was perfect as a base to come to and fro or as a place to spend an evening unwinding and getting to know the fellow guests in a cosy environment.

Of all the places my companion and I stayed during our travels in the Balkans, Hostel Magaza was by far the most relaxed and enjoyable vibe, and we have very fond memories of Elma and her mum and the friends we made here. Also they have a very nice dog who lives in the front yard :)

Very good hostel. Nice clean, cosy room and bathroom. Close to the main square in Sarajevo. Very friendly owner. Comfortable couch on reception with tv and perfect waterpipe. Good price for what you get.

We rented a room for two nights at Hostel Magaza. We had some difficulties finding it (old GPS, it was late and snowing), but once we arrived we were very much at ease and welcomed by the owners, who are laid back
We had a very small room, which we wanted, there was no closet, which was quite impractical, but the room was tidy, comfortable, and warm. The bathroom was just across the hall way, there was a problem with the hot water, unfortunately, one of the guests turned off the boiler, so we couldn't take a shower with hot water.
Nevertheless, we'd gladly go back to Magaza - it is right in the center, you can go everywhere by foot and there are so many small tea/coffeehouses, restaurants, little grocery shops just around the corner.

Very good

Haris are nice and kind, prices are suitable even there is so close to Bascarsi, but cleanness is question mark. As a result, if you are not finicky and if location is important, this place will be good for you.
