A very last minute booking for 3 nights here. It’s bajan through and through. The host Fitz is a really nice man and accommodating. I’ll certainly return later in the year with my wife. 

The beach is no more than 30seconds, so ideal for surfers. There is bar up the road. Couldn’t recommend this more a beach side location.

Great stay for the location (ocean view!) and price. Fitz the owner is incredibly helpful, without asking offered to drive me a significant distance to get some cash and even further to get some bug spray! Also a great guy to chat to with lots of stories. The place is definitely "rustic" but if you have a sense of adventure and strong bug spray, you'll be ok. No A/C but two powerful fans and the ocean breeze meant it wasn't that hot. I only stayed a night.

Love the East coast! Bathsheba is beautiful and the surfers are mesmerizing. Nearby zaccio's was the spot (ate there twice) for fresh food at a good price with lovely servers, had their flying fish sandwich and tuna tacos. Bus stop just across the road but probably get one (to the city) a few minutes further east which has shelter from the sun.

A perfectly located place to stay and relax and an owner who will go out of his way and further to make your stay as great as possible.

We booked two nights at Rest Haven, as we wanted to explore something of the wild east coast of Barbados and we'd been told that this place would offer best price in the area.  Fitz, the resident owner & manager, was extremely helpful; booking process was simple & straightforward by email and he answered our several advance questions very promptly and clearly.  When we arrived and met him, he was charming and every bit as helpful as he'd been in correspondence.
The accommodation we were allocated to was everything we could have hoped for - a two bedroom chattel house named Matilda, right at the front of the site with terrace that looked straight across the road at the sea.  Really, here one goes to sleep to the sound of the busy sea beating on the shore - wondrous!  The place was well-equipped and spotlessly clean, even though the sea air has obviously taken its toll a bit on the decoration in parts.  Everything worked as it should (unusual in my experience for this type of accommodation).
Bathsheba itself is a delight, with its couple of eateries which, incidentally, close early - it's best to eat at lunchtime or in the afternoon.  Two smart hotels within easy walking distance for those who are so inclined.
I would return to Rest Haven without a second thought, if i find myself in Barbados again - absolutely loved the place and the people.

Bathsheba is a lovely place to escape the tourist trail (they come in the middle of the day, but once late afternoon arrives peace ensues!

We wanted to enjoy this peace so booked a night at Rest Haven.  We arrived to a very warm welcome and found our cottage which was simple but had everything we needed.  This is not a place for air conditioning or the latest fixtures and fittings but it had good wifi, a comfy bed, and a kitchen with plenty of equipment.  But what it was all about is the location - stunning views, especially when we got up early for sunrise.

This was completely different from the rest of our trip to Barbados and we absolutely loved it!

A great get-away from the hustle of the west. calm and rustic beach huts right on the sea front. We found the owners very helpful, and un interfering. Good Wifi and surf, very relaxing!  clean with everything you need as a base for an adventurous traveller. .

If you are looking for a quiet place to rest that's the best choice. The hospitality cold not be better! It's in front of the beach and if you like to surf it's just 5 min walk to Soup Bowl! The cottages are very clean and has everything that you need.

Nice place

We enjoyed our stay here in beautiful Bathsheba. The owners were so nice and the cottages are situated so that each has a nice view of Cattlewash beach. There weren't many food options nearby, but we recommend The Round House and The Atlantis. Dina's was another option but it was so expensive for average bar food. 

We stayed in Little Sea See. It was clean and had everything we needed but we would recommend staying in another cottage. The ventilation was bad and the space is small. The washroom was separated from the kitchen by a curtain. The bed wasn't very comfortable because the mattress was too worn. I kept rolling to the middle of the bed. We really enjoyed having dinner on the porch, overlooking Cattlewash beach.

We would recommend staying here, but in one of the bigger cottages.

Wonderful owners, beautiful location

We stayed here for one night having visited Bathsheba many times in the 19 years we have been coming to Barbados. The ‘cottage’ we stayed in was called Little Sea See, with one bedroom. The location is wonderful, right opposite the beach and Fitz, the owner is a very nice man. On the positive side the bed was comfortable although small and we were given thick white towels. However, everything was dirty. The furniture was very shabby, the light bulbs had no shades. The kettle wouldn’t boil but just kept turning itself on and off. Kitchen supplies were very meagre, just one knife and one fork for two people!  A few other utensils but I wouldn’t have used them as the cooker was absolutely filthy. We knew there was no air con but the fan was on a timer so turned itself off in the middle of the night. Such a shame as with a good clean and some paint this could be a charming little chalet. I suppose for the price of US$60 you can’t expect too much but you do expect things to be clean.
