Saint Francis Resort

We spent 7 days at Saint Francis resort and can’t recommend it highly enough. If you are looking for a no frills, return to nature and simple living this is the place for you. Our room overlooked the Atlantic Ocean and I highly recommend asking for one of those rooms. We took long walks on the beaches, hiked the many trails, swam in the ocean, stumbled on beautiful bays with clear blue water. There are so many hiking trails to choose from and each one is magical. The staff at the Snappy Turtle are so kind and got familiar with our special requests very quickly. We ordered food ahead of time, so our meal was always ready for us. Highly recommend doing this, as they get a large crowd from boats for lunch and dinner. Thank you Stafford for all you did to make our stay wonderful. The room was simple and large, great air conditioning and was cleaned every day really well. Stocking Island is likely one of the last islands that have not gone commercial with large resorts. There’s an untouched beauty to it that’s hard to describe. I hope it always stays this way. We can’t wait to come back to this magical place.
