This lovely modern high rise hotel is in a great location to explore Vienna as the Alte Donau underground station on the U1 line is just a 5 minute walk. Also the airport bus stops right outside the hotel. Our room was spacious and clean. Hotel staff were all smart and excellent. The bathroom in our room was perfect and the shower couldn’t have been better. It was also extremely quiet with no disturbance from nearby traffic. Before staying in this hotel it’s advisable to book a transport pass on the WeinMobil App. I downloaded our two tickets on my phone. This in not expensive. I have a relative who is an actor and he has appeared a few times on stage at the Vienna English Theatre. We went to see a great comedy production of See how they Run at this theatre. Nearest Underground station is Rathaus. Seats not expensive and bar there is cheap as well ! Our favourite two places to eat in Vienna are Cafe Landtmann and also Demel. We will definitely stay in Hotel NH Danube City again in the near future. The next stop on the U1 underground line is for the United Nations building. I would thoroughly recommend booking the 1 hour guided tour, in either English or German as it is a fascinating and important place, where about 5.000 staff work. Cost of tour about 25 euros pp.
