Hotel Grand Ferdinand Vienna

This is a ideally located boutique hotel.12 minute walk from weim mitte train station. You can easily walk to all parts of the city from here. Plenty of bars , restaurants and shopping nearby. Had a really warm welcome from the staff at the check in I explained to them this was a suprise weekend birthday treat. Within 10 minutes of our arrival whist settling into our room there was a knock at the door. It was a waiter with a beautiful chocolate dessert and a note from the front desk wishing my wife a happy birthday.Its little acts of kindness like this that make your stay extra special and memorable. The rooms were clean and spacious with quirky decor .a large bed with tasteful linens and individual duvets. It had a separate toilet but the shower and sink were in the room, we had no issues with this but could see that some people may find it a little off putting. There are 3 restaurants within the hotel. We used the rooftop restaurant and bar with lovely views across the city and also the bistro for coffee and strudel. The breakfast had a few choices a la carte and also continental buffet.quality ingredients with plenty of options, The prices in the bar were not excessive and the barman obviously knew how to make a good cocktail. All the staff no matter which department here were really friendly and helpful. We really enjoyed our stay at this hotel and we would definitely return.
