Pension Edelweiß

We spent an amazing one night stay with Barbara and Christian. They are the best hosts one can hope for. They go to so much trouble to make your stay feel just perfect. We wish we could have stayed longer. We were offered something to drink as soon as we arrived, making us feel extremely welcome. Everything is super clean and in perfect order. The beds were very comfortable, and apparently there were even nicer rooms than ours. We loved our room, though, which was at the back but still had views, even of the Glockner. I was a total disaster, losing my sunglasses, which we couldn't find anywhere. On the road out of Heiligenblut, my husband commented on the vehicle sitting right on our bumper. Then he noticed that it was Christian chasing us to catch us as he had found my sunglasses in the breakfast room. Later that same day I changed the battery of my phone and appeared to have lost my photo's from our morning walk at Pension Edelweiss. Guess what? Barbara organised new photos for me too. Barbara and Christian, you are just the best!!! Btw a week later after removing my sim card, my sd card seemed to register again and hey... there were my photo's. Thank goodness! Now I can share them on Trip Advisor. Food was good too and plentiful. And thank you Barbara for all the special extra personal attention you gave us. There is absolutely no doubt in our minds where we want to stay when we return to Heiligenblut, which btw is just the cutest little village. We loved the church and the cemetery. Beautifully and lovingly maintained by the people of Heiligenblut. Thank you for an amazing visit.
