Positive points - The gentleman who works for us is very kind and very nice (even if he only speaks German). - Good breakfast - Large and very clean room, well furnished - You can have dinner on the ground floor. Essential but genuine dinner - In the middle of nowhere, really quiet place - Credit card payments (it's rare in Austria) Negative points - From the photos I didn't realize it was right above the box of the scenic street. This takes away a bit of charm. Heiligenblut is not very close. However, it is very convenient for those who want to take the scenic street.

Here we had a family-friendly dinner. Nice Italian welcome and sympathy. The quality of the food is average, but we retain a good memory for the beautiful view of the Grossglockner and the beautiful evening we spent together.

Nice in Italian!

gasthof in a strategic position a few meters from the southern quarter of Heiligenblut to access the alpine road of Grossglockner. Stayed only for 1 night but we appreciated the availability of the owner, his way of making us feel comfortable.... practically at home. For us he was very busy with the Italian language and even the menu for dinner was in Italian, which we did not find elsewhere in Austria. Clean room, comfortable and comfortable bed with balcony that spans the surrounding nature!!! Even for one night we were given the card to get the discount on the alpine road toll (that 35€ we paid 31,50 for the car).

We were a party of 4 people who stayed at Gasthof Tauernalm for one night from 7 - 8 June 2017. The service we received were excellent, and the rooms were comfortable and warm, although it was snowing. Thank you for making our stay very enjoyable, including the breakfast.

Holiday in Heiligenblut

It's a beautiful guesthouse with stunning views, and although it's located at the entrance to the Grossglockner Highway, it's very quiet and peaceful.

Oh, that's wonderful!

The owner, Gerwald is a lovely host. The room was clean and comfortable but a little too hot for spring. We had dinner at the Gasthof and the selection was a range of traditional dishes which we enjoyed. 

I think it would be a great place to stay in winter to go skiing as the lift is only 50 meters away.

It's not far from Heiligenblut town as the crow flies, but if you want to go to town for dinner I would recommend taking the car as the walk back would be up a steep hill.

Traditional lovely room and host

The owner also speaks Italian and is a friendly and sociable person. A rich, abundant breakfast, prepared by Mr. Sefi who knows how to make a good cappuccino. The price of the stay includes the access card to the national park, which has lasted for the entire stay. The card also entitles the free use of the seats and cabins in the park, without limits.

Looks that  they dont relax?! All the the time, during 8 years we visit the restaurant all is going well and friendly. Traditional dishes, excelent Bauern Suppe. Perfect place for lunch break and dring in the afternoon during skiing, 600m from the GondelBahn, but right by the skilift. Sunny terace

Good meal, fast service, high standard summer/winter

It is an old fashion place. It is not a very new building, the owner, and the staff are of "old fashion". Clean place, friendly, the waiter in the second day new our habits, very attentive, hepful, not impersonal like in many "modern places". We left the pension as good friends. Maybe it is curious, but I was most impressed, when he committed a mistake. He had mistaken, he had to solve it, given word it is given word. The rooms we had made the reservation, were sold out by a mistake. He found us a place in a more expensive place, and he payed the difference. I reccomend everybody this place.

The value of old fashion, reliability

Lovely location. Cozy inn with friendly and friendly staff. Clean and cozy rooms with beautiful views of the mountains. Very good breakfast. Good parking facilities. Very highly recommended!
