Gästehaus Golker

Jolanda and Gästehaus Golker treated us very well indeed. We had 2 comfortable and clean rooms, which were warm and had comfy beds and plenty of space. The views and/or balcony were very nice and the bathroom/shower was clean and met our expectations. Breakfast was simple and filling. It is a short walk to the main street in Bad Gastein and the bridge that takes you to the main ski lift, the Stubnerkogel, which is also where the Felsentherme is too. To make the walk even easier we utilised the very modern, secure, self-service and heated ski/boot/helmet storage depot above Sport Schober at the bottom of the Stubnerkogel lift (€35pp for 6 days). Note that there is dedicated ski storage at the Gästehaus (in an outhouse) but no dedicated ski boot storage. Several visits to Felsentherme made our week even more enjoyably and the many saunas eased our tired ski legs. A must visit restaurant is the Hofkeller for fondue and hot stone meat cooking at the table... Note that there is only just enough parking with some guests parking on the road, although this did not cause a problem it would appear. Otherwise we had no complaints, note that it is cash only payment.
