I can’t speak highly enough of this lovely traditional Hotel Garni. It may be a little way outside of Schladming, which you can get to on the local ski bus from the door or by your own car in 10 minutes, but that gives it a delightful quiet & calm. The staff and owners are friendly and can’t do enough to make you feel welcome. The breakfasts are excellent, dinner is really first class and the general ambience is warm and genuine. There’s a reasonably sized spa and pool area - nothing fancy but a hot Finnish sauna and plenty of towels and loungers. A soda fountain and apples on hand for most of the day too. There’s reasonable parking space & two good ski rooms (depending which part of the hotel you’re in). The bedrooms, particularly in the lower part of the hotel where we stayed, are clean, comfortable, modern & simply outstanding. I do like this traditional, no-nonsense Austrian hotel!
