A trip down memory lane for us, The Globe Inn is a wonderfully renovated B&B right in the heart of town.Don't miss the opportunity to go to Yazz Bar around the corner.

Old world charm is alive and well in Yass

A beautiful charming historical Inn now a 5 room BNB .
So comfortable, big spaces , beautiful furnishings and an amazing breakfast included.
I will be back with my friends! Close walk to the Main Street with lots of cafes, pubs and beautiful furniture and clothing stores.

We had a very welcoming stay. With a comfortable clean bed and a warm fire. And a beautiful breakfast to top it off.

Had a great night's stay, hosted by the engaging Julia and her husband. They are keen art and antiques collectors who clearly love their old hotel. We opted for the rustic Garden Room (It was probably once a servants quarters or the kitchen), downstairs and out the back next to the kitchen garden and several friendly cats. We went for dinner that night in a terrific Indian restaurant round the corner in the main street and afterwards lay happily in bed looking up at the vaulted timber shingled ceiling while a fire flickered in the wood burner, casting a cheerful glow over our room. Next morning we were served a terrific cooked breakfast in the upstairs dining room which opens onto a huge verandah/balcony where you look over the police station and court house. Ours was a B&B experience extraordinaire thanks to our host's personal attention and the taste we were given of  old Australia.

Beautiful Georgian residence. Everything needed for a comfortable stay. Host very friendly and welcoming.  Breakfast was tasty and very filling.   Easy walk to main street.  Great spot.

We were greeted by our host, shown our room and also shown a lovely seating area out on the verandah. There was tea, coffee and water for us to help ourselves, as well as home made shortbread which was delicious. Our room was beautiful and spacious.

So welcoming and a fascinating place to stay - if only the walls could talk!

The five stars are for the ambience, the very pleasant owners, the beautifully prepared and leisurely breakfast and the lovely sitting/dining room (4.5 for the amenities, as it was built in the 1840s). Walls are thick, so we needed to go to the sitting room for wifi, which was barely 10 steps from our room (and, as mentioned before, a really characterful place). We'd love to go back one day.

Globe Inn was a beautiful B & B. The historic charm was evident thd moment you drove through the gate right up to entering our room number 3, upstairs. The huge upstairs verandah was perfect for relaxing in one of many comfy chairs and lounges. Tea and coffee, plus Anzac biscuits were available. Our room was spacious and clean. There are some areas where some maintanance is required but all up we were very comfortable. Breakfast was delicious and hearty, served by Julie and her husband who were acting as custodians while the owners were overseas. We would be happy to return.

5 couples had 3 nights mid week at The Globe Inn and it was perfect for our group.  The location was convenient and made for an easy walk around town to look at the old buildings.  

Each room was comfy, well appointed and had an en suite bathroom.  Breakfasts were included and very good.  There was a lounge area at the end of the main room - comfortable and with a fireiplace which would be lovely in winter.  

The big bonus for our group was the huge under-cover balcony upstairs - plenty of casual chairs and a table with chairs if you wanted to eat lunch you'd brought back

Julia was a fabulous host - bright, bubbly and nothing was too much trouble .   Husband Charlie was very friendly too, although he was a busy man and we didn't see a lot of him.
There was plenty of help-yourself tea & coffee n the main room and Julia always had some yummy home-made biscuits/little cakes available.  Plenty of supplies of bottled water, too.

I can highly recommend The Globe Inn, particularly for a group escape.

We loved our one night stay in the garden room which is rustic and quaint with a jacuzzi bath in one corner of the room and a delightful little sitting out area surrounded by lavender bushes.  We were made to feel very welcome and comfortable.  The communal upstairs veranda off the breakfast room made a gracious area to sit when we came back from dinner.  Breakfast was hearty!

Delightful 

This is my favourite place to stay in NSW.  It is family run, always extra friendly, so so comfortable and clean enough to make me feel perfectly at ease and I am a dreadful clean freak.   The bathrooms are a tad old and less than luxurious, but overall that is just a quaint feature of a property in which the hosts and the ambience and the bed and linen and breakfasts are perfect.

As good as it gets

Thoroughly enjoyed my overnight stay in Yass at the Globe Inn. The hosts were very friendly and accomodating and just made me feel right at home. I stayed in the garden room which I really enjoyed - the beautiful garden is directly outside and inside is tastefully decorated whilst preserving historical features. The bed was super comfy and I slept really well.
Breakfast was first class.
The location is great too with easy access to the riverside walk; Yazz cafe and local shops. I’d definitely stay again.

What a gem , beautiful place and so cosy , easy to walk to restaurants etc.
Balcony was devine  and on a warm evening would be a wonderful place to sit and relax . 
Bedroom was warm and cosy with a beautiful feel(big room too). 
In the morning there is a lovely breakfast in the ballroom to start your day,
Charlie and Julia were perfect hosts and Julia makes an outstanding shortbread biscuit. 
So if your in Yass and want somewhere beautiful to say Tte Globe Inn is the place .

Gorgeous stay

We had a wonderful time right from the first warm welcome, the comfortable bed and spacious bedroom,  relaxing in front of the open fire in the lounge room and through to the two course cooked breakfast. The Inn is right in town so all of Yass was within easy walking distance. The proprietors appeared determined to ensure you had an enjoyable, friendly and relaxing stay.

Stay for one night (unfortunately) and the place was lovely, literally a Gem! 
This in an historic building which beautiful design, high ceilings, hard timber floor and unique frames. The management has done great renovations and rooms have heating system that make my stay just pleasant. I stay in a cold winter night (0 degrees at night) and felt like a warm cozy home. Not nasty hot air flowing in my face at all, just nice central heating.
Management was lovely and friendly, asked us for our breakfast preference as well as our best time to have it. 
Almost forgot! Their balcony! Omg. Ourselves and another couple staying agreed that their balcony is just superb! Perfect for a nice event or just some drinks on a sunny day.
Give this place a visit! I was shocked that in a busy long weekend this place has some space for us. I can’t believe how lucky we were! 
Now I’m planning on coming back and stayed at least 3 days.
