A really large room on the ground floor of the motor lodge provided a great place to stay for two days in Port Fairy. It is in an ideal location - a short walk to everything. If you like gelato, then you are also around the corner from the most popular place in town. The room looked as if it was recently renovated and the bathroom is brilliant - the strip lighting comes on automatically when you walk into it!! Neat and tidy, the usual provisions (e.g. a range of teas, coffee bags - no Nespresso here!), a couch, two chairs and table and lots of storage space, it was a good size to relax after a day of walking. The lawn area provides some shelter from any wind and lots of shade for pre-dinner drinks and if you are quick, you can grab one of the few car spaces on the property.
