Stayed for several nights and enjoyed the hospitality of Janie. Lovely breakfast , views over the valley. About 4km from town. The Cataract Gorge is 5 km from the home, Woolworths a short walk away.  Views are great.  Nice to have a home like atmosphere after staying in various hotels prior. Stayed in suite 1.   

We were made very welcome to our hosts home. It is beautifully furnished and the views over the Tamar Valley are magnificent. These can be appreciated from the lounge and the breakfast dining room.Our room at the front, was spacious and very comfortable. Everything was spotless.
Our host was from a well established family in the area and was able to give us plenty of advice on the area. She also cooked a beautiful breakfast!

We stayed in one of the suites and had a wonderful experience. Janey was a wonderful host and we had an excellent breakfast each morning. The property is gorgeous and we would definitely stay here again.

We stayed for 1 night in the cottage out the back and it was great.. fully self contained kitchen, spacious rooms and a great bathroom with a spa bath... our host was fantastic, cooked us a brilliant breakfast and let us stay a bit longer in the morning as we weren’t catching our flight until 4.30pm
Clean, comfortable and cosy... very reasonable price. Great location, Woolworth is only a 3 minute walk incase you decide to eat in... will be back

Exceptional host who even washed, dried and folded our clothes. Wonderful views. Do not miss the opportunity for a delicious breakfast and coffee, greatly made. I had the saffron eggs that were full of flavour, great filling portions. The hostess was gracious and would definitely recommend. It deserves all the awards it has received and more!

We stayed here for the first 3 nights of our 2 week Tasmania trip. Cottage was well equipped with microwave, toaster oven, crockery, cutlery, glassware, and other kitchen items including tea coffee and sugar. Plenty of hot water for the spa bath. Only 150 metres to the local Woolworths supermarket and about a 10 minute drive to city centre. Janie the hostess is simply awesome. If we visit Launceston again we would definitely stay here again. 

We had the pleasure of staying in the two bedroom cottage at Trevallyn House. It was lovely, the accommodation was beautiful, our hostess Janie was lovely and the breakfast delicious.  The views from our deck over the river were great, as were the wallabies that visited. Highly recommend a visit. 

Janie was welcoming, friendly and very accommodating from the start and really made our visit special.  The accommodation, gardens and grounds that are Trevallyn House are superb. The home is clean, warm,  fresh and stylishly old-fashioned all at once, has well-appointed rooms and facilities, sweeping views of the Tamar river and a substantial history so you feel you are experiencing a part of 'old Launceston'.  Sleeping arrangements are very comfortable with electric blankets for chilly evenings, window blinds, table lighting, tea and coffee making facilities. Breakfast was a highlight with freshly squeezed fruit juice, fruit, cereals, toast and/or a sumptuous cooked meal cooked by Janie. Delicious and substantial, just what we needed before a long day of driving!  The beautiful lounge and dining rooms have picture windows overlooking the Tamar River; such a delight to eat breakfast here or to chill after a day's touring.  Loved our stay here, thanks so much Janie, we'll be back!

This is the second time we've stayed at Trevallyn House. We were so impressed last time with the quality of the accommodation the warm friendly but not pushy service we received from our host Janie. Nothing was too much trouble and her breakfasts are excellent with a sensible selection of very well prepared food served in a delightful quality dining room with great views of the Tamar. Likewise the original cottage that we stay in has the same great views. As a bonus the garden has wild wallabies in the gardens, they have the run of the outdoors although fenced the gateways are open but these delightful little animals are free to leave if they want to. They can be seen chomping away during the day.

We really enjoyed our stay here.  The self-contained cottage had everything we needed - a full kitchen for cooking an evening meal, two bedrooms and spa bath included.  Full ccoked breakfast is included, which makes it really good value for money ($185 per night in February).  The host, Janie is very helpful.  Highly recommended!

A massive thank you to Janie for having us for 2 nights at Trevallyn House.
Our 2-bedroom apartment is huge for our family of 3. We truly enjoyed the made to order delicious breakfast while settling in with the beautiful Tamar River view. The breakfast has kept us supercharge throughout the day. 
Janie is an amazing host that initiated help while we tried to take a family selfie and saved our day to help us start our car engine when we had problems with it. 
A pleasant little surprise was the visit of Kangaroo during our stay!

5-Star Hospitality

We have travelled all over the world, and Trevallyn House bed and breakfast is one of the best. Janie is an amazing host, and she even found a way to make my birthday special during our 3 night stay. We enjoyed a delicious breakfast every morning, while looking at beautiful views of the Tamar River from her dining room window. We stayed in the comfortable 2 bedroom cottage on her property, with convenient parking for our car. We were close to Launceston, and a small shopping centre was within a comfortable walking distance. Our holiday in Tasmania was enhanced by meeting Janie, and staying at Trevallyn House B and B.
