Had to relocate our wedding 5 weeks out. Rachel was most helpful and accommodating. We ended booking the 2 cottages and the studio. For a large group, the set up gave us a lot of flexibility. Our guests really enjoyed the cottages and found the decoration and finish to be of very good quality. We will definitely be back and would recommend the place for Family and friend week end away.

Extended family ( 12 adults+ 3 kids ) spent a super 2 night 3 day holiday here.The 2 houses we occupied were excellent. The rooms, beds, linen, equipment were very good.The only minor flaw was that the water was leaking out of the shower stall.

We stayed as a group of 4 couples and with 4 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms & lovely open plan living we had a wonderful 4 night/3 day stay.  Frank met us on arrival and showed us around & how everything worked and told us to help ourselves to the limes & herbs in the garden.  We ate in for breakfasts & some dinners opting to eat out for lunch.  Well supplied kitchen. The beach is within easy walking distance and we walked in both directions (about 15 mins to Kingscote itself).  Had a lovely stay enjoyed the Island and all that it has to offer and could easily have stayed longer.  Very enjoyable. Thank you Frank.

We recently spent 3 nights in the larger of Frank's KI Garden Cottages.  A beautifully modern house with 4 bedrooms and two large bathrooms, and a spacious open-plan kitchen/dining/living room.  Washer/dryer (bonus!), no WiFi, well-supplied kitchen (though no food supplies, so be sure to get your groceries before the shops close), and the showers had fantastic water pressure!  Although we arrived relatively late in the evening, Frank made sure to come and make sure we were comfortable, and even took my husband to the bottle shop before they closed!  As we are only a family of 4 (kids aged 3 & 6), the house was a bit too much space for use (we didn't even use the upstairs rooms), but if you're a group of 6-10, this would be the perfect place to explore the island.  Only downside was that we found a few bugs/spiders throughout the house, but I suppose this comes with the surroundings.  Thank you for a lovely stay, Frank!

We spent a week in the Garden villa in Jan 2016 with our three children (8, 7 and 5years old). The villa was clean, well equipped and very comfortable including dishwasher, washing machine, which are very useful when travelling with children. Frank was also very welcoming and helpful with useful hints and tips on car hire, places to visit etc right from when I made my first enquiry. Overall we had a lovely time there and also on the Island itself (we felt a week was a good amount of time to explore most of the Island without being rushed and actually we could have spent a little more as we couldn't take in quite everything we hoped to). 

As others have noted, there is no wifi - not a complaint, and possibly standard for Kangaroo Island, but just to be aware. 

There were two large bathrooms, a nice verandah, very big lounge/dining area, kitchen (open to the lounge) and four bedrooms (two downstairs and two upstairs). However, we only used the two downstairs rooms (the three children shared one very large room which was laid out with a double and a single bed). The reason for this was that the two upstairs bedrooms have no doors and so the sound from downstairs, and between the two upstairs bedroom, would travel and for children of our age this would have been problematic for them going to sleep if we wanted to sit up in the main living space in the evening and we didn't want to be woken up early in the morning by our children getting up! This is my reason for giving the accommodation 4 rather than 5 stars for people with children of our age, as it would have been nice with a four bedroom place to have been able to to use another of the rooms. However, other than that, the villa was great and for others with teenage children who stay up later, or for parents who don't mind being woken up in the morning, the upstairs rooms would have been fine I'm sure and were very nice rooms.
