The house is amazing and welcoming in the heart of Tasmania .
Very comfortable with all the amenities needed and a wonderful decor.
Sitting by the beautiful living room and play Scrabble by the fireplace with the family is a refreshing change from the busy life in Melbourne. A time to connect with Nature , going for a few walks and seeing the wildlife around us.
We loved every minute of it .

There is not enough good things to say about Quamby Home. It is the most beautiful and magical property. I enjoyed every minute of our stay with my family and the kids loved it! The bunk bed room is insane my kids were up way too late every night playing and having fun together. Amenities are perfect for a family with toys and activities outside. The perfect winter escape.

We arrived at Qamby Home frazzled from all the stresses of 2020 - we left 7 days later floating on a cloud of tranquility and relaxation. Set in the middle of rolling fields and nesting hedgerows Qamby's interior could have been lifted from a chic French gite - or perhaps a New England Homestead? The enormous bathrooms were bliss - and scented with organic "Grown Alchemist" toiletries;  the open plan kitchen and living area was light-filled, tasteful, and relaxing - with an excellent sound system and TV; the master bed was SO comfortable I would never have left it if the views hadn't been so inviting (best sleep in ages!). We didn't travel with kids but had we done so I know they would have adored the quirky built-in bunk bed arrangement.
The location was perfect for wineries, historic villages, and Launceston, and was only a short-ish drive to some beautiful empty beaches. We also explored the Cradle Mountain area on a longer day trip. 
My thanks and compliments to the owners who have restored this farmhouse in such a stunning yet welcoming manner.

We've stayed for 14 nights in this awesome house. Certainly one of the best vacation rentals on Tasmania. Location is very central amidst green meadows and farmlands with wonderful views around including a large part of the Great Western Tiers. Outstanding for making daytrips in the north end mid of Tasmania. 
It is a renovated/modernized farm house with all the modern comforts you may expect in this upper price range. We cooked our own meals and enjoyed the beautiful kitchen. Internet is working above avarage, could even stream Dutch television, Netflix and other things ' from home'
Excellent bedding, rare to find in a vacation home. 
Large gardens around and beware for the birds...they are everewhere even son who are ticking on the windows to wake you up! Some minor things we missed: some sunbeds and an outside whirlpool which would have made the garden/terrace even more attractive.
When we ever come back (we live in Germany), this will be the place! 

We booked here as a base to explore the historic local area and having driven down the long drive, were greeted with a simply lovely modernized contemporary farm property.

Stepping through the front door, you are presented with a decor, and 4 bedrooms, that are renovated to a lovely standard, use a contemporary white/grey/black/silver colour palette as their backdrop.

There are lovely antique items throughout the house and the kitchen/ fireplace/ dining/ lounge part of the home is clearly the heart of this lovely property.

This is super family friendly, is provided with toys, foxtel, Apple TV etc, and guarantees a relaxing family stay.

With views across the lovely countryside, a lovingly restored decor and attention to detail, there is a reason this is a very popular place to visit.

Definitely worth spending quality family time here. Excellent.
