Comfortable; great view; real friendly staff

We loved our stay and the service provided by the owners of Escape 1770. So peaceful and still so close to town, brilliant view to relax and chill out to every evening.

We had a pleasant stay here. This was a just a one night overnight stay and it did what it said on the tin. The owner of the hotel was most informative. This hotel is almost at the top of the hill and there is some fabulous views.

A beautifully located small motel with only 4 rooms. Very helpful and friendly service, immaculate gardens, and stunning view. Be aware that due to location TV reception can be intermittent
Our suite had a main room with large queen bed and a second room with two singles. 
It was peaceful and quiet but only a short drive to local restaurants

really enjoyed the hotel. The room was spacious and charming with high ceilings and a big bathroom. The view was magnificent. Gardens are immaculate. Kitchen area and pool are really very pretty. It was great to be able to cook and store food out of the bedroom areas.

This could well be Agnes Water’s best kept secret. Spacious and well equipped room with amazing views yet close to everything. The pool area was lovely and the perfect spot to relax and enjoy the views and the sounds of the local bird life. Lorenzo our host was extremely helpful and happy to share his local knowledge. I highly recommend this place to anyone seeking a comfortable and relaxing stay in a peaceful location. Thank you Lorenzo for a great stay.

We expected a nice view - it was fabulous!  From our balcony, from our bed or from the communal kitchen and pool area.  Just incredible.  Beautiful breezes.  We expected mosquitoes and bugs - it's Qld, it's summer, it's coastal.  So no surprises there and not something that the owners can control anyway.  The recommendations provided for food in Agnes and 1770 were spot on!   Bed comfy.  Everything was clean.  Welcomed by Lorenzo - fabulous welcome - friendly, warm and informative.  We wanted a peaceful, relaxed and stress free few days and we got this in spades.  Perfect!

Just spent 3 nights with Lorenzo at this fantastic place.
From the moment we arrived Lorenzo couldn’t do enough for us, the rooms are excellent, beautiful King beds, fantastic communal kitchen which we made great use of. The views are sensational and very close to the beach and all the shops. He even loaned us a couple of boards to go for a paddle.
Will definitely be back, thanks mate.

We found Escape 1770 to be a perfect getaway.  Perched high on the hill surrounded by well maintained tropical gardens the Escape is stylish.  Our spacious room was very well appointed and the views of sunset and sunrise from the deck was awesome.  Very friendly and helpful host. Highly recommend.

Found Escape 1770 on booking.com and stayed upstairs in room 4.
Room was well equipped, shower was excellent being large enough to share with a friend, great water pressure and nice and hot. Just what was needed after a long day on the road. Balcony offered great views and was very peaceful to watch the sunset over Agnes Waters. Bed was large, a little firm (as we prefer a softer bed) but a great night sleep had.

I found this gem through Booking.com and we are ever so grateful we did! Small boutique adults only hotel with the most incredible views. we had rm 4,
a 2 bedroom, large bathroom w/shower, a small refrigerator and kettle for tea and coffee- 
with a nice balcony overlooking an incredible view ❤️
His prices can’t be beat for all that you get in return
There is a pool and jacuzzi next to the outside common area which includes tables and chairs, kitchen,stove/oven, a pantry which has all the necessities to prepare, cook and enjoy your own meals- Lorenzo has thought of everything!
Such a treat if you want a break from eating out...
But if you don’t, there’s plenty of places down the hill to enjoy a good bite

The host/owner of the property, Lorenzo, truly a great guy, was awesome. Helpful and friendly in his demeanor, direction and suggestions, as well as being the resident surf instructor with his company, Gnarly Tours Surfing, which we took advantage of!
Great afternoon on a private beach and yes, 
we got up 😎 🏄🏻‍♀️  thanks mostly to him and his partner Jake, so much fun, we highly recommend!
Escape 1770 has been one of our favorite stops on our trip here to Australia and Agnes Water,
 a beautiful place to visit 💜

What a great find!

Definitely one of the best places I've ever stayed at.  Not a new place but that doesn't matter when you have a lovely open view to the beach and surrounding bush land and nice clean and well maintained facilities. Loved the outdoor BBQ area and pool. All facilities were very clean with plenty of utensils for cooking as you needed to. Very peaceful surroundings. The room facilities were just right although the bed was a little too firm.The bathroom was very spacious, more than meeting our needs.I would definitely consider going back to Escape 1770 when planning my next break. Great value for money. Our host(sorry forgot his name) was very helpful and friendly, nothing was too much trouble.

We had wonderful days at escape1770!
The location comes with very clean rooms and very comfortable beds. Our bathroom was like new with lots of space. There is a great kitchen outside with everything you need for preparing breakfast or dinner. The view is amazing and the trees around the house with lots of birds gives you a tropical feeling. A clean pool completes this gorgeous boutique hotel. And Lorenzo is a really great host!

We found this place a week ago as we wanting a respite from camping. The price is amazing and what we found was even more amazing. Great room, smallish but very adequate. Amazing views, a great deck to sip coffee, cooking facilities and small pool. Lorenzo the host is very, very helpful. We came back a week later it was so good.

What a lovely homely place Escape 1770 is - if you are expecting the Hilton or the Ritz-Carlton type facilities here you will be sadly disappointed - however be treated like royalty by your truly remarkable host Lorenzo, if you have problems, he has all the solutions - nothing is too much trouble for him.

The unit he allocated to my wife and I overlooked the tree canopy and gave us unrestricted views of the beach and the headland right to the top of 1770. It was so beautiful and peaceful. 

The king size bed was extremely comfortable and the unit, shower and toilet were clean. Tea and coffee making facilities are provided in the room and all other cooking can be done in the BBQ deck area where plates, cutlery and other necessities are provided and the pool in the BBQ deck area is clear, clean and inviting.

We would have no hesitation in recommending Escape 1770 to others and trust that their stay will be as enjoyable as the time we spent there.
