What can I say... from the moment we walked in we were welcomed with open arms (literally!) We were early for check in but they helped us with our bags to a secure area and asked what we wanted to do — we had our whole day at the thermal baths planned for us it was VERY helpful. That evening we returned to an exhaustive tour of the hostel and to find our room (classic hostel dorm WITH air con). By the time we were downstairs a couple of beers were already opened for us! The best asado we’d had was served that night with wine flowing faster than I could drink it. We were due to leave Mendoza after a couple of days but stayed for one of my best Christmases ever. How could I be homesick at Christmas with my new Campo Base family?? Couldn’t recommend this place enough!

Sociable hostel with cool, friendly people in charge, more than happy to help whenever. The social area is great for meeting people or just to chill. The organised nights are class - all you can eat bbq with bottomless wine was my fave. Ideal location for walking into town. Would strongly recommend.

Absolutely loved my time here all the staff are dead friendly welcoming and create a brilliant atmosphere. Such a good location too would absolutely love to come back at some point

I absolutely loved my stay. This is the best hostel in all of Argentina. The staff is amazingly friendly, patient and helpful, they answer all your questions and help you organise tours. They have laundry service and you can rent bikes. The hostel itself is a little basic but that doesn't matter, since the atmosphere is great. They organise asado and pizza nights as well, which you definitely shouldn't miss!! I was sad to leave this place. It was also perfectly located. Thanks for a great stay.

Breakfast was really tasty. Price were quiete low! It’s also well located in Mendoza

Quality Hostel

BEST HOSTEL IN ARGENTINA

Good time

The first few days we stayed here we absolutely loved it. The staff and the atmosphere of the hostel is so nice and welcoming - the free wine and the homemade pizza went down a treat. The rooms are very narrow and the bunk beds are very wobbly but it was comfortable and clean for what you pay for. We loved it so much that we went to the reception and booked one more night ! However when it got to the morning that we were meant to change rooms, the manager, Mila, was avoiding all morning. When we finally managed to talk to him he revealed to us that he had given our beds to his family members that were coming to stay and has not told us. At this point it was midday and when I asked him how the mixup occurred he admitted to me that he had booked us in but then decided to revoke our booking without telling us. It was very unprofessional and left us very stressed as finding a hostel for 3 people at very short notice is not easy. The other staff were professional but none of us were impressed with the treatment that we received from the manager. This is a good hostel but stay at your own risk as there is a possibility that you may get kicked out !

Good hostel if you don’t mind uncertainty !

This hostel is clearly only for backpackers who want to stay in dorms.

The hostel has only one private room, which I booked for 3 nights, and I left after the first night, as the room (and ensuite bathroom) were the dirtiest and smelliest I've ever encountered anywhere in the world.  There was no natural light in the room, a constant smell of stale cigarette smoke wafting into the room, and the woollen blanket provided looked like it hasn't been washed in years.

The hostel staff are friendly and helpful, but that's not a good enough reason to stay here. Avoid unless you don't care about hygiene!
