HOME Guesthouse 

We stayed only one night at HOME while passing through Surabaya. Upon arrival there was a misunderstanding because we have booked a doubleroom with extrabed for three people through Agoda. Unfortunately, Agoda's booking process was really unclear regarding the exrtabed so the receptionist wanted to charge us extra for the third person. After a brief discussion with the friendly manager they omitted the extra charge and called Agoda to explain the hassle themselves. It was very pleasant how professional and friendly they stayed during this misunderstanding. This also reflected the whole service attitude of the entire staff which was very customer oriented. The rooms are very nice and don't lack anything (fridge, large comfy bed, modern bathroom, etc). Very clean, spacious and well equipped. The terrace and the view from it was great. There is a small fitness center and playground for kids (not that we would have needed the latter). We even got a full fried rice and curry breakfast for takeaway because we left very early in the morning. It seems this guesthouse is very new and staff still completely unspoilt. I hope they stay the way they are. We really enjoyed our too short stay at HOME, which felt like at home! Many thanks and all the best! Roswitha, Lea and Lukas
