Overall it was a great stay. Great communication regards how to have room serviced, request extra towels etc. One little niggle, the bar was closed by ten pm.

Great experience. We found our room clean and quiet, staff helpful, loved being so close to the Firth of Tay and train station, and are glad we booked the breakfasts which had enough choice.
I would have preferred a room with a window that opened rather than air conditioning, but on balance, wasn't off-putting.

Stayed 1 night to celebrate my Mums 85th Birthday. This was our 5th visit . The best premier inn . Staff so friendly and location perfect .We had meal deal in beefeater restaurant next door could not fault it. Look forward to our next visit.

We were really thrilled to arrive at the hotel and found out we have a room with a river-view. Dundee has so much to off as modern city! The room is nice and clean, so close access to main city. Evening stroll is fantastic to see the night scenery! 

Excellent hotel and staff I stay in a lot of Premier Inns so know what to expect the Hotel is situated right next to the River Tay with lovely views and is far enough away from the traffic so no noise Restaurant is a good size also

Brilliant staff, friendly welcome. Very clean rooms and a great night sleep. Highly recommended. I left feeling so relaxed and was able to properly chill which was the reason I was having a break. I will be booking again!

This Premier Inn never disappoints. Pristine room and bathroom, very peaceful and very comfortable beds. Welcoming staff and plenty of them. Breakfast choices are good, plates were warm (important)!

Ideally located if visiting the V&A Museum and/or The Discovery


A great stay. Good location, right beside the V and A museum. The meal deal was excellent value. Comfortable room, with excellent shower. Small issue with sink plug that was not resolved, but no other negatives. 

The Premier Inn at Discovery Point is an ideal location for exploring Dundee. Great value and super friendly staff. Only downside was being chased out of the bar very abruptly by an officious barman at 10.45 when we just wanted to finish our drinks in a relaxing manner. Hotel was excellent though.

Lovely night stay. We managed to bag a river view and the place was spotless! A BIG thank you to all of the staff that looked after us during our visit to Dundee.  We will certainly be back in the summer to enjoy a sunnier view of the River.

Perfect for visiting the V&A

This hotel has one of the nicest locations in Dundee, right on the waterfront and also a very short walk to the rail station, V+A museum, Discovery Point and the town centre.  My river-facing room was quiet and comfortable with a lovely view.

All the staff were friendly and hard-working, and the maintenance and cleanliness of the hotel were fine.  Breakfasts were very good.

I have 2 suggestions for improvement:
1. Have more than 1 member of staff on reception at peak times.  I had to wait 20-30 minutes to check in when I arrived, as there was only 1 person on duty and the kiosks were out of order.
2. Improve the wi-fi (this is an issue with all Premier Inns).  The free wi-fi is so slow and unreliable as to be almost unusable, and there was no obvious way of paying to get on to the ultimate wi-fi in this hotel, unless you purchase this at the time of booking.

Quiet, comfortable Premier Inn - nicest location in Dundee.

We enjoyed a lovely view of the Tay estuary which was just a few metres from our window. This, combined with the fact that the room was clean, warm, secure, comfortable and spacious with its own great bathroom and immediate access to the on-site bar, restaurant and car park...and also very quiet, despite being only a few minutes' walk away from the adjacent city centre, made this a hotel that we would definitely recommend.

Lovely Hotel in central Dundee

Excellent location.
Just be prepared for a very long wait at breakfast.
All staff very courteous and helpful 
Reasonable price for city centre

Good location

Great location, walking distance to University and shops. Is a little tired and in need of redecoration. Heating was faulty. Room view was of portacabins. Staff were great. Food in Beefeater next door is excellent.
