Herriot house is a lovely old stone building in a prime place right in the middle of Hawes village. We were met by the host on arrival...he was informative and friendly .explained everything we needed to know..The room was lovely .comfortable and clean..tea and coffee were plentyful and homemade cookies and water were also there..the bed was realy comfortableThe water pressure in the shower was great. Everything was lovely .we were left a small flask of cold milk in the morning outside the door and breakfast was perfect ..we had filled in a form as to what we wanted to eat and drink the evening before so it was brought to us as required..a lovely place to stay ..excellent
