Imperial Hotel

Travelled with Alpha to The Imperial in Ilfracombe(1st time with them)Rob,the driver was quite funny and informative.Arrived at the hotel (your cases can be taken to your room by staff if you so wish)in time for evening meal and was sat with 4 other solo female travellers who were all lovely.Cannot fault the meals as a good choice in all 3 courses.There,s a lot of choices for breakfast so no fear of going hungry here!One of the ladies had dietary requirements and was always well catered for.I paid extra for a cosy double,small bathroom but the shower was more than big enough,plenty of towels provided.The window didn,t let much light in so had to have the room lights on when in the room.Enough hanging and storage space for me,bed comfy although it was too close to the door.Coffee,tea etc plentiful(,but I take my own coffee and don,t do milk,sugar or tea)bar prices reasonable,Inga,the lady serving at the bar always had a smile on her face and was lovely.Our waiter for the duration was Ethan,a total credit to the hotel,nothing was too much trouble for him.Hotel overall seemed to be clean and there is a lift serving all floors.Evening entertainment;really needs to improve but I guess it beats sitting there with none.Only just passable.only 1 game of bingo to be played if you like that.(£5 for full sheet which has to be paid in cash and purchased at the bar)for drinks you can use cash or card.Bar open 5pm til 11pm so us ladies had a drink with our evening meal.Overall great value,would stay here again without a doubt.
