Thorps Farm Bed and Breakfast

This a small working farm with I believe 3 rooms at for the bed and breakfast. The building was build in 1740. The rooms were clean and comfortable and we even had a private bath. The owner was absolutely amazing, she was friendly accommodating gave us many suggestions to place to se in the area. My wife said she would come back to England just to stay here. We loved this place

Janet met us when we arrived and was very helpful and friendly. The building is set in a working farm, but is well maintained and comfortable. Room was cosy, shower was great.

Great location and views on a working farm.Comfortable accommodation and very good breakfast. Friendly and helpful hostess. Reasonably convenient for nearest town, New Forest and other places to visit.

Lovely location, really enjoyed our stay, great hosts, amazing breakfast and we got to see some baby goats born the previous day what more can you ask for.

The accommodation was spotlessly clean, room was spacious as was the bathroom.Breakfast was fabulous, so much choice.  Nothing was too much trouble for our lovely host Janet, she really looked after us. We would wholeheartedly recommend a stay at this farm and hope to return one day.

Lovely location, very welcoming and accommodating host, very clean, good sized room with spotless bathroom. Huge and delicious breakfast cooked to order. Be aware, it is a working farm, so real life goes around, but if you enjoy that as we do, it's a great place to stay.

Really enjoyed staying at Thorpe Farm, Sandle Heath, quiet country surroundings with just the cows and woodpeckers sounds to wake up to. Comfy bed, spacious en-suite room, delicious breakfast and thoughtful kind host. Couldn’t ask for more- hope to stay again soon and recommend unreservedly- thank you

great welcome and service from owner.  room and breakfast great.  The farm was on the edge of the village but no easy walks from the farm. I felt I needed the car for any activity. it was unfortunately the main road in Fordingbridge was closed to traffic for my stay , this was not an issue long term for the property but did affect my stay.

We had an enjoyable(but sadly short0stay with Janet at Thorps farm,we were late getting there due to the ferry crossing from Cherbourg,but we were accomodated with our arrival (after getting lost!)at 11.30pm despite the t's and c's saying 8pm check in(previously agreed late arrival with host)we had a large very clean and welcoming room waiting for us,with a big bathroom.very peaceful rural view from our bedroom window,downstairs in the large dining room we had a beautiful table laid out for breakfast with linen napkinswe had a splendid full english breakfastJanet our host was very attentive,couldn't have asked for better,I would not hesitate to recommend this B&B to anyone

We stayed here whilst we friends. Upon arrival we were welcomed by janet, the room was clean and comfortable and had everything we needed. The breakfast was superb. On the Saturday we were out for a unplanned visit to Wembley. With delays we did not return till early hours of the morning. Janet was very accommodating left the lights on and let us have a late breakfast. We would highly recommend staying here and we will most definitely return when we are visiting again. We really enjoyed our stay at Thorps Farm.  Janet was very helpful suggesting places to eat that evening.  Breakfast was excellent- enjoyed the grapefruit, cereal and full breakfast.  Beds were comfortable and room temperature perfect. Good shower with lovely size fluffy towels.  Quiet area and lovely view.

A working farm with a lovely herd of cows and calves.Very genuine happy  hostess-nothing too much,huge good quality  breakfasts,lots of local knowledge.Dining room full of character,beams,lovely arch door and huge open fire place.Lots of games and local maps for guests.Bedroom had plenty of drawer space,2 comfy chairs,tv,tasty biscuits,tea coffee,milk,a spotlessly clean bathroom.Very peaceful and able to watch the cows eating their top up of hay. Very relaxing break and would highly recommend and certainly stay again. We were made to feel very welcome.Thank you Janet.

Just home from an excellent long weekend at Thorp Farm. Janet made us most welcome and attended to our every need. Her breakfasts were delicious, offering everything from fresh fruit, croissants, porridge and cereals to scrumptious cooked bacon, sausage and eggs etc. Staying on a working farm enhanced the trip and we would love to return one day, hopefully for a longer stay.
