The Time Hotel Marina

We had chosen this hotel as it was opposite the marina, where there was supposed to be a Robbie Williams concert that we were attending. Easy enough to get to from our previous hotel near Sirkeci. We took the BN1 bus and it stopped about 50 metres away. There is also the Marmaray rail service but the walk to this station is further. Because the concert was canceled just two days before the performance, many people had cancelled their rooms. We were already in Istanbul so decided to go as planned. As a result of this, we were given an upgraded room (bigger and with a sea view). The hotel is beautifully decorated. The rooms are well equipped and the bathrooms are clean and well presented. Really comfortable mattress and extra pillows were available. Tea/coffee making facilities. The hotel has a swimming pool and lovely spa. My husband had a massage and said that it was excellent. Good value for money at 1,700 lira for 45 minutes. Reception staff were friendly and helpful. Open buffet breakfast was delicious. Plenty of choice and quality produce. We used our extra time to visit the Istanbul Aquarium and Florya shopping complex, easily reached via the Marmaray trains. There is also a quiet but good sized shopping centre about 150m from the hotel.
