The host Juanjo speaks good English. He runs a small apartment business and quite a large wine business. The apartment Portal, where we stayed, was modern and comfortable, fitted out well. Even the plastic flowers and plants were in good taste and suited the rooms. We overlooked from 2nd floor a quiet road to the rear with a good view out over the lower part of the village. A lift is available, so not a problem if you have mobility problems. Our complimentary bottle of wine was very much appreciated and I was only sorry we didn’t have time to take a tour of Juanjo’s Celler Piñol opposite the apartments.
