Isla Expeditions

We booked a 4 day / 3 nights trip from El Nido to Coron. First things first: It was awesome! Right from the beginning, we felt very much included and the whole crew was extremely attentive, helpful, and adjusted the schedule to what we fancied most - e.g. we love snorkeling and we had more than just one fantastic stop with great corals and a lot of different fish. Our captain Mel knew the spots very well, we also always arrived when there was almost no one. Our guide Warren was very funny, explained very well, and taking great care of us. Chef Lyn prepared the best food we had on our overall trip, always too much and so delicious. We even had fish that we fished ourselves. All of the other crew members - Randy, Jesam, Samy, and Dam - were extremely friendly, too, always taking care of everything. The third night was on a lonely island in a „net tent“ and the crew prepared a surprise candle light dinner. Afterwards we sat together and had a Tanduay with coke or a gin. The perfect experience. If you insist on running tap water, you will have a hard time, however, for us it was the perfect trip! Exploring beautiful islands, awesome snorkeling spots, learning how to fish and being taught Tagalog, the best food, great company, and the best crew we could wish for. We would definitely do the tour again, probably the highlight of our overall trip. Make sure to have this crew if you’re looking for a local, authentic expedition (once again - because they are awesome folks: Mel, Warren, Randy, Jesam, Samy, Lyn, and Dam) :) P.S. Don’t forget to bring your power bank if you want to recharge your phone - which will be necessary! Enjoy exploring!
