The Segond Hotel

Very  clean and organize and I was not expecting that breakfast was included, but the manager from Moroco (The Gentleman- sorry I didn’t get his name ) explained us during the check in that we have bf included, it’s surprises us . And bf was quit good and again nice service by the Manager with smiles that please us the most .it was worth for money . If there will be dinner option available then that will be great . We are very happy with our stay .. Room is very well organized with the amenity and online check save our time to spend on reception 👍 I will suggest to provide some drop and pick to main city to visit will bring more guest to the hotel .. we will Love 💕 to stay in future.We love the hotel 🏨 😘

It was a great option not only for the calm location per se but also for the friendly environment and amazing management.

Peaceful and quiet area, nicely decorated clean and fresh room, friendly and excellent service 24/7, nice square with nice restaurants a short walk from the hotel. We had a very good time here!Only point of improvement is that there should be a toilet available closer to the pool area and to provide WiFi up there too :)

Hotel very clean, rooms spacious, staff friendly and breakfast superb with lots of choice of hot and cold food. Would greatly recommend to all who visit the magical island of Gozo.

I stayed with my family for 7 nights and we all really enjoyed our stay, friendly staff with warm welcome and easy check out. The breakfast was value for money, the room was very spacious and clean with comfy bed. We also had dinner few nights and the food was not bad-our child enjoyed the pool although I did not go in. The area very easy to move around with buses to Ramla beach, malsaforn, Victoria shopping mall and other places. My husband loved the outdoor sitting area especially at night. I will recommend and I will like to visit again.

Very quite clean and friendly property. Staff are excellent. There are no options for dining near this property hence ideally have a car as it would be time consuming waiting for and locating any public transport options. I highly this property if you are looking for a quiet clean hotel. Location is average but only if you have a car.

We had a family room which was quite spacious and beautiful. The beds were very comfortable, we also had a mini fridge & coffee/tea station with stools. The roof top pool is nice but small and shallow. We had to cross the street to go for the pool as it was in the other building. Overall it was a nice stay and it was a pity we only stayed for one night.

Gozo is a small island and the Bolt drivers can really get you anywhere so The Segond was the perfect base. Xaghra was a very good area, close to Ramla Bay, and Victory Square. I feel like the images of the rooftop pool are a bit misleading however it didn’t bother us as we spent most of our time elsewhere! First thing you want to do for your stay at The Segond is go to a mini mart and get bottles of water for your stay, if the bar is closed and you forget water they can’t give you a bottle of water on tab (a bit strange) we found this out first hand, after a but of a late night and realising we had no water in the room and reception staff member at the time said “the bar is closed”! Not a big deal, but just a heads up for a thirsty hungover wake up call haha! Breakfast is simple but good and the restaurant staff are absolutely lovely. If you are someone that likes to stay at the hotel on your holiday and utilise the pool and amenities this may not be the place for you but if you are like us and explore the island every day then this is the perfect base.

Perfect base for exploring Gozo

Gréât place!!! Really clean and modern, very big room! Air con working perfect, equipped with a fridge to put things ie water, wine etc! very welcoming by staff and big shout out Ronald(GM) for making us feel like home and great Recommendations for places to see and visit! If it wasn’t for him our trip wouldn’t have been as good!!!!

Best place in Gozo by far!!!!!

The staff were friendly, professional, and went the extra mile to make us comfortable! We love Joanna and Joanna, as well as everyone else we encountered. The rooms were first rate, and the dipping pool was a bonus. Great breakfast, luggage storage, helpful suggestions- we couldn’t have asked for more. I would highly recommend the hotel as a home base for anyone visiting Malta- they can stay on Gozo and take day trips to the main island.

Kényelmes. Tiszta. A csapat nagyon kedves, segítőkész, recepciótól kezdve a reggeliztető csapaton át az esti felszolgálókig. A medence pici, de hűsítő. Zoli, a recepciós extra pont.Comfy. Clean. The team is outstanding, guest friendly and helpful, reception, breakfast team, waitresses and waiters. We had a lovely stay. The pool is small though lovely and perfect for a cool down. Zoltan was a great help.

The reception staff are friendly and check in was straight forward. They allocated the room I had requested (a balcony at the front of hotel.)Room is spacious, with comfortable bed and clean. The furniture is nice and the facilities include an espresso machine. Water is provided along with plenty of tea, sugar and espresso capsules. It would be nice to have normal coffee, as I enjoy a larger coffee in the morning. The room lacks a full length mirror and a small table and chairs would be nice for the balcony. The shower has good water pressure and large towels are provided.Breakfast is of a good standard and plentiful. Better organisation is needed though. There is not a permanent member of staff controling the entrances to the breakfast area. This meant, even though we gave our name and room number on entering, a waiter then asked my husband again for his room number again. He was in the middle of a mouthful, couldn't remember which number it was and felt singled out, as other tables were not being asked for their numbers. My husband had to call me over to give the staff our room number. (He didn't even check with the register to confirm.) If they have a problem with people getting breakfasts without paying, then they need to block one entrance and have someone stand at the podium throughout breakfast. It was very embarrassing.Overall though, I would recommend this hotel.
