Without a doubt, the best place to stay on Skiathos. The location, accommodation, and service are impeccable. Many beautiful beaches are nearby, just a few minutes away by car, as well as the island’s center. I spend every summer in Greece, and this week at Villa Christina is surely among the best holidays I’ve ever had. The owners make sure you feel at home, which makes the experience even more wonderful. Highly recommended!

What an amazing find, great Greek family run hotel in the most beautiful location, wonderful hosts, great apartment super clean, fresh towels every day with brilliant shower ample hot water.  The pool area and bar is super relaxing and added bonus of on site restaurant so no need to travel out if you want food…. For the first time in all of my trips to Skiathos this is one place I was more than happy to spend the entire day.  The family that run the hotel are lovely, really welcoming and take great care of all of their guests… I will be returning in August and have recommended to all of my friends…. Book you won’t be disappointed!

I have had a wonderful stay in Villa Christina. All workers are kind and go the extra mile. My room has been cleaned throughly daily and I had a lovely balcony with a fantastic view. 

I have been coming to Skiathos for many years and this is by far the nicest place I have stayed. 

Please ignore comments complaining about the hospitality and rooms, my findings have been that many guests do not seem to read into the Villas exact location before booking. Yes there is a 15 min walk but it is really not that difficult if you are able and is actually nice to walk off a big meal. The bus stop is just at the bottom of the road as is the shop, but there is no need to carry heavy things such as bottles of water as they sell bulk packs at the Villa bar. The walk to the beach is also most pleasant. 

I travelled solo this year and it’s been wonderful to sit at the bar and chat with Miltos, Helena and Dion on the evenings.  I felt very safe in this accommodation, the area is quiet and peaceful at night time. 

I will absolutely be returning! 


Had a wonderful holiday with our daughter and husband and brother in law and sister in law. Helenor works so hard to look after everyone and had a wonderful sense of humour. Militos is always smiling and very friendly.  We enjoyed visiting Skiathos town which you can catch a bus at the bus stop at the bottom of the hill or take a water taxi from the beach. we also hired canoes for 1 hour 10 euros.Had lovely food cooked by Helenor at lunchtime excellent pizza and super cheesecake. Johnnys taverna was excellent but you do need to book in advance. Hope to holiday here again soon :)

This is a very well laid-out park in the woods with several well maintained buildings with a large pool and all day open bar with snacks. The atmosphere is very relaxing. The studio was fine, we enjoyed staying there sitting outside in the woods. We ordered a car for a cheap price just one hour after arrival, and the whole island with its nice beaches and great seaside restaurants  (especially Seferi !) laid at our feet. Service is friendly and professional. The breakfast was good. We would come back.

We have had a very pleasant time at Villa Christina. We were pleasantly surprised. You do need a car but location is very peaceful an pool is lovely. Apartments are spacious. Location is great for beaches. Amazing walks available to Vromlimnos and Kolios

Located at the top of a hill - pros it was a bit cooler with a gentle breeze- cons challenging w as ll back to hotel.
Great team (Alina and Dimitri) who made us feel really welcome.  Great pool.  Good bar area.  Some food available when you didn’t want to go out.

Stayed here for a week, the staff were all very friendly and approachable. We had a one bedroom appartment , massive balcony, comfy bed, free aircon, good shower pressure, hot water, white soft towels and a safe in the wardrobe. The villa was very clean and garden well looked after, pool was lovely and nice bar area. Yes its up a hill, we did our research !  Advise stocking up in the shop down on the main road and get a taxi back cost 6 euros and its worth it. Bus stop 13 at bottom of hill , cheap regular service. Path is quickest way to nearest beach its a dirt track and steep in places , took 15 mins. Beach is lovely, fine sand,a qiute area and a busy side where the bar and resturant is, lots of sun beds cost 10 euros for 2 sunbeds & umbrella for day.Other beaches easy to get to by bus.
We had a great time at the villa, special thanks to Miltos and Eleaner .

We spent great 11 nights at the one bedroom suite, which was a great deal. Big terrace, comfy beds, spacious kitchen and a beautiful palm trees and flowers around. Vromolimnos beach is the closest one, and also a decent one. It's good to rent a car, so that you can explore the island. Five stars holiday!

Felt welcome from the start - very friendly and helpful people. The pool was lovely and clean. We had a couple of lunches at Villa Christina and it was very good. The rooms were cleaned daily. Roughly a 20 minute walk to the nearest supermarket and restaurant. They offered us a room to shower and get ready on our last day there, which was greatly appreciated. Would stay there again.

Amazing find in Skiathos

We loved our stay pool was kept lovely, it’s deeper than it looks. 
Surroundings where stunning very chilled- lots of greenery and lots of sun.
Rooms were very spacious and a gorgeous big balcony.
It’s true what they say the pizzas and carbonara are the best.
We arrived and had great banter with elena from day one , great personality we had some good laughs 👍🏽 
I hope you are all doing ok after that terrible storm “Daniel”
And things are getting back to normal.

Deo the bar man was great too always happy to help and have a chat - I hope elena drank her drink I gave her 😂

Family Holiday

Great relaxing place in the woods !

We spent a week at Villa Christina and only have positive things to say about it! 

All of the staff were very friendly and made us feel very welcomed; they were able to give recommendations and help us out with a room to shower in before our late pick up time going home. A special mention to Dio who was great to chat to and always smiling! A few reviews mentioned rude staff, we did not feel that the staff were rude at all so don't let the negative reviews put you off visiting Villa Christina. 

We stayed in a self catering room which was small but had everything we needed. The room was basic and not particularly modern. However, it was clean, comfortable and perfect to have as a base for going off to explore the island. The gardens were beautifully kept and the place was always very tidy. The pool area is lovely and there were always plenty of sunbeds. There is a great bar with ample seating.

As mentioned in many of the reviews, the hotel is situated just less than one mile up a relatively steep road. We were happy to walk to the nearest beaches and tavernas but we also hired a quad bike from Hellenic Rentals in Skiathos town - we would definitely recommend doing this!! 

Our recommendations: 
- Johnny's taverna - we ate here twice because it was so good!! You need to book a table in advance as it is very popular. 
- Porto Paradiso beach bar on Vromolimnos beach - the food was brilliant here
- Kanapitsa taverna for dinner right on the beach 
- Gyro Nimo - gyro bar at Troulos beach 
- walk/run around the Kanapitsa peninsula which is where Villa Christina is situated. This is a 3 mile route with gorgeous views! 
- walk up to Mitikas which is the highest point on the island... the quad bike came in useful here! 
- get the water taxi from Nostos beach into Skiathos town

Would go back!

Positives: amazing peaceful setting, spotless gardens, lovely pool, plenty of decent comfy sunbeds, large bedrooms, lovely bar and terrace and great beer. (Best I had on the island, 4€)

Negatives: bedroom furniture needs updating, bathrooms need modernising, coffee disappointing and pricy, food service slow and buffet breakfast overpriced. Were times during the day where the bar was unmanned which was frustrating.

Location: up a steep hill but was expecting this as I fully researched. 15 mins to walk to bus stop 13 and a decent variety of restaurants. (Jonny's and Infinity Blue being the best) We hired a car and in my opinion essential. Walk to beach is just 10 mins through the pine forest. Bit steep but ok. Another beach Diamanti and the one near Jonny's were amazing too (similar distance). In fact all the beaches in Skiathos are great.

Overall: could easily have been 5* but for a few niggles as mentioned. Owners could have been a little more attentive. Costs nothing to smile!! The young lad behind the bar was the opposite, always smiling,top service and even found me the golf to watch. Will miss my early evening beer and complimentary nuts and crisps.
