Margaliti Inn

I stayed one night here with 3 other people. It is an inn - a large house - with 3 bedrooms upstairs (with one large bathroom) and a room downstairs (with a bathroom). The rooms are sparse but spacious and 2 upstairs have balconies. The bathrooms were immaculately clean with lots of storage. Storage is not a problem anywhere - rooms, bathrooms and kitchen. The kitchen and dining room downstairs are also large - the kitchen has fridge and crockery, cutlery and so on. However, the owners live across the road and they prepared a Georgian dinner for us, at the time we wanted, and also prepared breakfast. The downside is that it is in Tsinandali - way out of the town, and the town of Telavi. But to get there you will presumably have a vehicle, which we did, and we drove in the evening to look around - and walk around the city. But being out of the main town does make it quiet and cheaper than town hotels. You are in farmland so you wake to the sound of roosters, dogs, and birds. The couple who own it were wonderful and treated us like family. They wanted to make sure we were comfortable and well fed. Free wi-fi was good, quick and great - I even got some work done. There's also a washing machine - we didn't use it but if you've got a family it would come in handy.
