Hotel Embassy

Stayed here for one night during my time in Karlovy Vary. The hotel is conveniently located along the river Promenade & there are a number of reserved parking spots directly in front of the hotel which is very convenient. My room (303) was quite large, with a small balcony, and the room faced the front of the hotel with beautiful views of the river below. The bathroom was also very large with a separate shower and bathtub. My girlfriend stayed in room 301 which appeared to be a mirror image of my room. We were able to see our parked car from our rooms. The Hotel Embassy is just a couple minutes walk away from the Grand Hotel Pupp, which is a great place to go for a drink in their beautiful bar. You are also just minutes away from all the colonnades with mineral seeps where you can enjoy the various healing mineral waters. We opted to dine in the adjoining restaurant of our hotel. It was mushroom season during our stay and we wanted to start with a local mushroom dish as an appetizer. Sadly, our waitress did not make a note of this request and our entire meal came to the table at one time. Luckily the person at the table next to us had just left as we didn’t have enough room on our small table for all of our dishes. Despite this oversight, our meal was great and we enjoyed the evening. We were able to charge our meal to our room tab. The breakfast buffet featured a large selection, including a good variety of fresh fruit. I needed to send a package to Germany during my stay here and the staff assisted me in getting a cardboard box as well as taping the box closed once I had finished packing it. Everyone we encountered was very friendly and helpful and I would recommend staying here as well as dining at their restaurant.
