the room is spacious, cheap and clean. Near two restaurant namely a seafood restaurant and a local dish cafe. Self-parked and the receptionist are friendly. I asked for two extra beds and when I come in the beds are already set.

Convenient place to stay if you have a family function nearby

Known as 'Park Garden Hotel' now. Cheap price as a budget hotel for only BND35 for standard room per night when we checked in not including the breakfast. 

Check in time is 2pm and check out will be 12 pm. Room was spacious and enough for my family with two kids. 

Carpet was quite old but okay.. the AC sometimes cold and sometimes went hot by itself but we couldn't control from the remote. 

Got a flat screen tv, 3 in 1 coffee and tea, good wifi as our room was in the first floor. 

But I think the hotel still need to improve the cleanliness as we entered the room we found a long spider web was hang on the ceiling just on the head board of the bed. 
Also we found many long hairs on the bathroom's floor and we'd to clean the bathroom first before we used it. There was also used cotton bud in the toilet and not yet throw by the housekeeping. 

Once we wanted to keep our stuff inside the drawer we had to clean it first because the inside was still dusty like never clean at all.

They provide shampoo, bathfoam and soap but no toilet tissue. The towels looked old and smell cigarette so I suggested we better use our own towel.

As the old building there's no lift and we have to use stairs in order to go to our room. The hall way  was smell full of cigarette but still good looking as there were new in painting. 

Receptionist is okay but not friendly as we were worried to ask more question to him. 

Overall, average... 
Anyway, we still want to come back at the hotel next time and see the improvement from the staff specially the housekeeping. 

A good overcome for the hotel usually comes from the 'guest' and the 'staff members'. 

Still need improvement due to the cleanliness

We booked this hotel largely on the description posted by the website  I quote.
"Located just 5 minutes from the multi million dollar Jerudong Park playground and the growing commercial township of Jerudong. Goodview Hotel provides comfortable yet economical accommodation during your visit to Brunei Darussalam. 
The Good View is none of this, A long long walk to the park,  no view from rooms apart from a car park, rooms were filthy with stained carpet and sheets, ants on the bed cockroach baits in the rooms. We traveled with friends and were highly embarrassed to have booked this hotel for them, they were so appalled at the condition of the rooms that we walked ten minutes up the road and booked into a different hotel, forfeiting our rooms at the Good View. I think this hotel is very dated and in need of a good clean and refurbishment. I never write bad reviews but feel compelled to advise others to do their research before booking hotels that have no reviews available.
