We stayed one night as a party of three and were very impressed. The hotel, beautifully renovated in 2023, had a spacious room with a comfortable main bed, a double sofa bed, and a coffee machine with capsules. On arrival, the floor hadn’t been cleaned properly and there was sand, but staff immediately sent someone to fix it and apologized — a real sign of great hospitality. The location is perfect for exploring the city, with the sea and attractions nearby. Being central means some street noise, but with earplugs I slept fine (I’m a light sleeper). Breakfast had yogurt, cereal, pastries, breads, and even herring. Small tips for improvement: a fresh bean coffee machine instead of thermos coffee, and faster plate clearing. A big bonus: the hotel is part of the Happy Trip ticket with Belgian Railways, so you can travel from anywhere in Belgium for €14 return. It’s a 15-minute walk from the main train station or a short tram ride from right outside. Highly recommended for a warm welcome, great value, and a top location.
