2hostel Circus

Stayed in hostel for the final two days of our 9 week exposition through South America and had a great time. 

We paid 15 soles each (2 people) and were accommodated in a small dorm setting with TV and private bathroom. The hostel has a great kitchen, TV, and fast functioning internet. The staff, a quirky English man was hilarious and accommodating. 

The location is extremely close to the beach and several nice parks however if you want to experience central Lima it's better if you stay there. Lima is a huge city and Miraflores is technically a smaller city on its own. 

Overall would recommend.

Friendly well priced hostel

I would definitely not recommend this hostel. The staff( not even sure if it was the staff) was very rude from the moment we stepped into the door. This guy claimed that we disturbed his sleep and that we are way to early for check in( great while it says on the hostel description: you can come whenever you want). We booked a 4 bed dorm ended up in a 6 bed one, which smelled of alcohol and sweat. We turned up leaving one hour after we arrived! We couldn't stay there any longer.

Not very welcoming place

Unless you're ready to take no shower, eat no food that is a place to go . The bath/shower is so disgusting , you fell to keep your clothe on. The white bath is black there is water leak from the the ceiling but the water is very hot. The shower in the dormitory don't run hot water, no window, no close door. For as the kitchen no one washed the dishes before next morning meaning there is a dirty washes' piles in the sink and the bench are full of food, we won't talk about the 2 fridges inside. The dormitory room 3 beds of 2 sleeps , I'm not trusting the cleanness of the bed sheets I preferred not to know. I can smell Smoke from downstairs when I go to bed or in bed sometime not only tobacco. Then every night we have the right to listen loud music until 1.30 am, how lucky we are.  The host is a nice guy but I don't think he has a clue what he is doing there. Over wise not far from the beach and shopping, a bit far from the old town, but you can take public bus to get there for only 1.5 sol . 

Not recommended to stay there

Since the start of our travels (the rest of Peru and Bolivia) we never felt the need to write a review, however this room was heavily overpriced. It did not match it's description on Booking.com. 30 dollars for the worst room we had so far, with an outside bathroom, private but not lockable to make sure of that. 

The room, sheets and bathroom were not clean. We actually asked if they had cleaned the room at all after the last guests. Black hairs every where in bathroom and on the stained sheets.

After our complaining, they offered a 10Sol discount, which still does not make it value for money. Especially when we tryed to sleep the night on the bed. Made out of 2 stacked mattresses which were so soft our heads and feet were 20 cm higher than our bum, we lay like a human V. 

Heavily overpriced

Quite dirty place with old and not well maintained facilities. Location is good. No services. Staff can be little friendly. If you still want to go there, better book online all your nights in advance (prices are mich higher if you extend your stay directly at the reception).
