Me and my gf stayed here for two nights. One in a shared dorm and one in the double ensuite. Its nothing especially special but its really good value for your money. When it comes to hostels this is pretty good. Breakfast was also included, you could ask for a breakfast item off the menj every morning. And coffee and tea was always free to take. Id never dlept so peacefully in a hostel. 

Nice place to stay a few nights in Swakopmund. All equipments are available (fully equipped kitchen, great braai area...).
Great place to meet other travelers!
The breakfast (included for me) is simple but nice to have.
Close to the beach and jetty. Friendly and helpful staff.

Their staff are very kind and I really enjoyed my stay. We can walk to town and We can reach the beach only 2min to walf from this accommodation. Breakfast is so delicious.

As a mature woman, I enjoyed the separate and quiet room allocated to me (no 6).
The staff was friendly. The room and bathroom were clean, the bedding was clean and cozy.
I also enjoyed the privilege of having breakfast. It was easy to go for a walk along the beach as the Backpackers is well situated and close to the beach. 

Hey there! This is a killer, laid-back place. Lots of chill spots. Decent kitchen. Free breakfast. Close to the beach. A short distance walking to unlimited cafes and restaurants. I spent 7 days here, and it was oh so hard to leave. Enjoy the simple life and go here.

Kind and helpful owner, comfortable bed, central place, good price/value ratio. The breakfast was simple, but good. Clean rooms, and there is excellent opportunity to make desert excursions, and expolre the area.    

We had two camping spots reserved (tented cars), but they didn't have a dedicated spot for them. It made more sense to pay very little extra and use two regular rooms. The owners were more than friendly and accomodating. As for the location - near the ocean, walking distance to the center. 

Excellent location, 3 minutes walk to the sea, vey clean and hospitable staffslean. Its not noisy and nice breakfast. The surrounding open area to sit and relax is superb. Clean bath rooms and very safe

I had a good experience staff were so friendly, it is safe and peaceful. I'm going back someday in the future. It is close to the sea and town, so convenient especially for people who don't know swakop!! 

Great place to stay. Just a few minutes from the beach. The hostel is very safe and lovely, the kitchen is great the WiFi is good. I would stay again 10/10. You can see the sunset from the top of the main building and it’s wonderful

Skeleton Beach Backpackers 11 to 15 Feb 2024

My friend and I stayed for a night at Skeleton Beach Backpackers while travelling through Swakopmund. Most things were good, but there could’ve been more people attending to reception as the one person seemed to be running around tending to things and hard to get ahold of like when people were ringing the gate. Thanks for the stay! 

Nice place, okay service

Perfect location.
Quiet and comfortable place to stay in low season.
Good breakfast.
The kitchen is a bit old, it would need a renovation, but it helps if you don't want to go out every evening.
The double room area is modern and well done, the sheard room one is a bit dated.
All said, I will definitely be back.

Good value for money, perfect location

Nice rooms, friendly and very helpful people. Breakfast could be a bigger selection. Room was very big, amazing furnishings, feels like home. The shared rooms were also comfy and cozy. Check-in and Check-out was uncomplicated. They also helped me out to find a new room because I could not extend my stay there because the room was booked after me.

We had a very nice time at Skeleton. We came with a roof top tent, if you do that be prepared you will be like in a parking lot. Staff nice and helpful and good areas to hang out and meet others. Good location within walking distance of everything. The place (and maybe also Swakopmund) attracts travelers who stay there for a long time, which gives it a special homely atmosphere.

Unexpectedly good - Welcoming, quiet at night, lovely lounge with TV and balcony, own room was comfortable and spacious with en suite bathroom and sea views,
250 yards walk to the sea and 5 minute walk to the Dome and the Cube with swimming pool.
I was able to park my car inside. 
The breakfast was ample - self service of cereal, boiled egg, toast, cheese, apple and tea.
I met some fascinating younger travellers, two of whom came from Finland and already knew me. In Namibia everyone tends to know everyone else.
The owner, Hermann, went out of his way to help me - he was engaging and invited me for drinks on the balcony on my last night,
I was by far the oldest resident at75 but did not feel out of place. The receptionist Selma was good. 
I particularly liked the white lights wrapped round the giant palm tree outside my room which gave a lovely festive feel. I also enjoyed the early morning mist that dissipates in a few hours. A hugh contrast to the weather in WIndhoek, the capital of Namibia,  where it has been 34 degrees most days this past month.,
Warm thanks Hermann and team. I will be back now that I have finally found the best spot in Swakopmund. A real bargain !

4  nights at this wonderful spot , comfy, welcoming, inexpensive. I had large single comfy room

Despite just being pretty modest-looking from outside, it was a comfortable room to stay in with amenities such as a good-sized bed, a flat-screen (with some nice movie & sport channels), a fairly-spacious ensuite & also like a pantry cabinet (coming in handy for my 6-night stay when I kept some grocery items in it);  and the breakfast was just a pretty basic one but enough of a fill until lunch time.

And with its location at just a few-minute walk from the waterfront of the "wide-open" South Atlantic Ocean, this really is quite an ideal place I would say for "long walks" which I actually only got to cover the stretch "to the left" in the direction towards the "city center" (which is about a half-hour walk from this place) with the beaches to the sea on one side & some big lawns on the other side where I would also suggest to walk along the waterfront street (a little to the interior from the waterfront itself) where there are nice-looking "upscale homes" & like a row of lovely bungalow-like small places, and yes be sure to stop by the "3 food trucks" for a nice meal (shark available at one of those three trucks actually).  As for swimming though, that long coastline beside the town is really just "all rocks" except for the area right in front of the Swakopmund Museum (2 swimming days for me at that beach during my stay with just a little inconvenience of about a 20-minute walk to & from this place).

And yes, much thanks are to the staff (especially the manager Olaf) for their great help with my 2 days of venturing out onto the "coastal desert" by booking the Living Dunes day tour (for the first day) and then by taking me all the way to Torra Bay at the Skeleton Coast National Park with a number of "nice interesting stops" along the way back (for the second day).
