I wish we'd had longer to stay here.... Arriving after 21:30 we had a little trouble finding this GEM of a hotel, but we were advised that there might be no-one at reception to meet us, this was no problem as keys were available and room was easy to find, and WHAT a room!! We really felt privileged to have stayed here and would like to go back and spend a few days there to explore. In fact, I've already told almost everyone I know how amazing it was. (but don't tell everyone I don't want to find it fully booked next time!) Only thing stopping it being excellent was that, although we didn't spend much time under the huge bed, there was some dust that would need more attentive vacuuming! Driving across Germany from the UK this was at the limit of a long day's driving, but I'm so glad we didn't opt for chosing a more "convenient" hotel closer to the motorway, this was WELL worth the detour :-D Continental breakfast was fresh and delicious, and we even had time to explore the refurbished castle chapel before we set off.
