Pension Probstheida 

I can only assume the differences in ratings is due to expectations. The B&B Probstheida, or shall I say the B&Bs (they have about 100 rooms) is basic, for Leipzig exceedingly reasonable priced, very quiet and in a perfect location for the “Herzzentrum”. If you want to go to the city centre, it takes about 20 minutes by directs S-Bahn. The rooms are clean and all have their private bathroom and a small kitchenette. Of course they are basic, but what can you expect for that price. I have chosen it for the location (my Dad had an operation in the clinic), arrived very late at night and received precise instructions how to check in and find my room. Breakfast is very generous and the rooms were made up each day. The owners are friendly and caring, and when my Dad sadly passed away, went beyond professionalism to accommodate the rest of my family on very short notice. Of course you are told that you are not allowed to smoke in the rooms, something even I, as a smoker, appreciate; you don’t get a smelly room. Ash trays are abundant outside. If you want a no frill accommodation for a very good price, you will be pressed hard to find something better.
