So so nice. We spent three days in Sofia and the Sense hotel is perfectly located. You can take the metro from the airport and in 30 minutes you arrive to a metro station 200 meters from the hotel. Location is perfect, 200m from the cathedral, 15’ walk from Serdica ruins (2000+ year old ruins from what it used be a roman city), and 20-25’ from vitosha Blvd (a commercial area full of bars, restaurants, shops, etc) where you can walk and sit for a coffee, beer, lunch, dinner, whatever. Facilities in the hotel are what you would expect from a 5 star business hotel. Nice room, small walking closet, and a shower in addition to a bathtub (I wish in these hotels would be like that because taking a shower in a bathtub starts being a pain if you have hip issues). Restaurants are also ok, though the breakfast area is a bit small and crumped and managed by three people. Honestly, they need more support because around 8 o’clock it becomes busy and they have very few people (even if they do all they can to have the food flowing). And staff is also ok even though I have limited interaction. I think there are other options around this hotel and different folks will have different tastes and different budgets. But Sense is an excellent choice.
